Go to **Settings** > **Community Nodes**\n2. Select **Install**\n3. Enter `@2xdamage/n8n-nodes-docling-serve` in the **npm Package Name** field\n4. Agree to the risks of using community nodes\n5. Select **Install**\n\n## Credentials\n\n### Docling Serve API\n\n1. Deploy a Docling Serve instance (see [Docling Serve documentation](https://github.com/docling-project/docling-serve))\n2. In n8n: Create new credential > **Docling Serve API**\n3. Enter the **Base URL** of your Docling Serve instance (default: `http://127.0.0.1:5001`)\n4. Optionally enter an **API Key** if your server requires authentication\n5. Save\n\n## Operations\n\n### Document\n\n| Operation | Description |\n|-----------|-------------|\n| Convert from URL | Convert a document from a URL (synchronous) |\n| Convert from File | Convert a document from binary data (synchronous) |\n| Convert from URL (Async) | Start async conversion from a URL |\n| Convert from File (Async) | Start async conversion from binary data |\n| Get Status | Get the status of an async conversion task |\n| Get Result | Get the result of a completed async conversion |\n\n#### Document Additional Options\n\n- **OCR Engine**: Select OCR engine for scanned documents.\n- **OCR Languages**: List of language codes to use with OCR. Defaults to `[\"en\"]` for EasyOCR. Note: language codes differ between engines (EasyOCR often uses 2-letter codes like `en`; Tesseract often uses 3-letter codes like `eng`).\n- **Image Export Mode**: Controls how images are represented in output (default: `placeholder`).\n- **Output Formats**: Which outputs to generate (default: `[\"md\"]`).\n- **Document Timeout**: Maximum processing time in seconds.\n\n### Chunk\n\n| Operation | Description |\n|-----------|-------------|\n| Chunk from URL | Chunk a document from a URL |\n| Chunk from File | Chunk a document from binary data |\n\n#### Chunk Additional Options\n\nChunk supports the same OCR/output-related settings as Document.
