Saved credentials at `~/.config/aevox/credentials.json`, written by `aevox auth login`\n\n### Token types\n\n| Type | Created by | Acts as |\n|---|---|---|\n| Personal | A user in your organization | That user, with their role and permissions |\n| Agent | An AI member of your organization | That agent, with its own permissions |\n\nA token's permissions determine everything it can reach. `getCatalog()` returns only the tools the token is authorized to use; anything outside its permissions is not listed.\n\n### Rate limits\n\nEach token has a per-minute request limit, set when the token is created and defaulting to 60 requests per minute. A fixed cap of 500 requests per hour also applies.\n\nExceeding either limit returns HTTP 429, which the SDK raises as `AeVoxRateLimitError`. Its `retryAfter` field carries the delay in seconds when the server supplies one.\n\n### Token lifecycle\n\nCreating, revoking, and rotating tokens are dashboard operations, under **Org Settings > API & webhooks**. They are not CLI commands: a token cannot mint a replacement, revoke another token, or extend its own life.\n\nRotation issues a new secret on the existing token, keeping its permissions, expiry, and rate limit. It calls your getter immediately, then again every `intervalMs` until one of the predicates returns `true` or `timeoutMs` elapses. Pass an `AbortSignal` to cancel a wait early.\n\n### Pagination\n\nTools whose input schema accepts `limit` and `offset` are paginated. Some list tools page with `page` and `page_size` instead, and many take no paging arguments at all; the tool's schema (`aevox agent-info -t <tool>`) is the reference. `tools.call()` takes a single page:\n\n```typescript\nconst page = await client.tools.call('list_proposed_scenarios', { limit: 50, offset: 0 });\n```\n\nTyped accessors from `aevox generate` return a `PageIterator`:\n\n```typescript\nconst iter = client.memory.listProposedScenarios();\n\nfor await (const page of iter) {\n  console.log(page);\n}\n\nconst all = await iter.toArray();\n```\n\n### Unwrapping raw responses\n\n`tools.call()` returns whatever the tool sends back, and a tool that returns many things wraps them differently depending on the route - a bare array, or an object like `{ items: [...], total, page, pageSize }`. `extractCollection` reads either shape for you:\n\n```typescript\nimport { extractCollection } from '@aevoxvoice/sdk';\n\nconst result = await client.tools.call('list_scenarios', { pageSize: 20 });\nconst rows = extractCollection(result) ?? [];\n```\n\nIt returns `null` (not `[]`) when the payload does not hold a collection at all, so you can tell \"no rows\" apart from \"not a list\".\n\n`extractField` is the same idea for a single value that a tool response might name differently depending on the route, or nest inside a wrapper on one route but not another:\n\n```typescript\nimport { extractField } from '@aevoxvoice/sdk';\n\nconst callId = extractField(result, 'callId', 'call_id');\nconst requestId = extractField(result, 'meta.requestId', 'requestId');\n```\n\nPass every name you know the value might arrive under, in the order you want them tried; a dotted name (`meta.requestId`) is read as a nested path. Each retry waits before trying again - the delay grows with each attempt, capped at 30 seconds - and a 429 that carries a `Retry-After` header is retried no sooner than that header asks for. It does not throw on untrusted input.\n\nThe replay window defaults to 5 minutes and is configurable through a third options argument. During a secret rotation the header carries two signatures, and verification accepts either the current or the previous secret, so deliveries continue through the overlap.\n\n`X-AeVox-Event-Id` is stable across retries. Every command accepts `--json`; list commands accept `--page-size N`.\n\n`aevox auth whoami` prints the token's organization (name and id, or `none` for a token with\nnone), its effective permission scope, and its expiry, alongside the existing status and\nenvironment -- useful for checking what a token can reach without an admin-only list command.\n`--json` includes the same fields as `organization`, `permissions`, and `expiresAt`.
