Desktop ACP uses the same Relay path from the app. This CLI runs\nClaude on the **Claude Agent SDK** and Codex on **`codex app-server`**, uses\n**ACP** for harnesses with no native lane (hermes, grok, goose, kimi, cursor,\nopencode, openclaw), and falls back to classic CLI execution when neither\napplies.\n\nIt connects to an agensis workspace over WebSocket, receives `@mention` jobs,\nruns the local harness or coding CLI in the folder you start it from, and posts\nresults back so web and desktop both see the agent online. The installed command\nis `agensis`.\n\nIn the Agents UI, set the agent to **Relay** (not Direct). Direct runs on\nagensis servers; this package only serves Relay agents. **Connector** is MCP\nand is a separate attach path.\n\nACP is on by default for the harnesses that need it. Disable it with `--no-acp`\nor `AGENSIS_ACP=0`. Pin a harness with `--acp-harness hermes` (or agent\n`metadata.acp_harness`); claude, codex, and amp ignore it and always use their\nnative runtimes.\n\n## Install\n\n```sh\nnpm install -g @agensis/agensis-agent\n```\n\nOr run without installing:\n\n```sh\nnpx @agensis/agensis-agent agensis --help\n```\n\n## Connect a Relay agent\n\nIn agensis, open the agent profile (run mode **Relay**), choose **Connect**,\nand copy the generated command. The service definition contains no connection\ntoken or workspace data; it references only the profile name, executable paths,\nand log paths. The token stays in the existing mode-0600 daemon profile.\n\n`agensis service logs --profile default --follow` explicitly follows the two\nlogs. `agensis service uninstall --profile default` disables and removes only\nthat profile's service. Agensis sends the job payload and\nreceives streamed CLI output and the final result. Local credentials are not\nintentionally uploaded, but the coding CLI can read files allowed by its own\npermission mode, so treat it like any local coding agent with access to that\nfolder.\n\nClaude memory synchronization is off by default. `--sync-memory` opts in to\nuploading the selected project's memory file names, contents, sizes, and\nabsolute memory-root path to the connected Agensis workspace. Reads are\nrestricted to that root and each file is capped at 256 KiB.\n\nKeep `aga_...` tokens out of shared logs and shell history. Generate a fresh\ntoken from agensis if one is exposed.\n\nBy default, Claude runs in safe mode and Codex skips user configuration,\nproject instructions, memories, plugins, hooks, and skill search.
