The pipeline lives in that markdown, not in this package.\n\n## First run\n\nOn startup, if `~/.scout/skills/` is missing or contains no markdown, the server downloads\nScout's nine skill files (`SKILL`, `SEARCH`, `TAILOR`, `APPLY`, `STATE`, `RAG`, `ACCOUNTS`,\n`GMAIL`, `TRANSPARENCY`) plus the two host adapters from `https://agentco.in`, then stamps\n`version.txt`. This mirrors what `install.sh` does for Claude Code.\n\nAn already-populated directory is never overwritten — updates are `SKILL.md` Step 0a's job,\nand it asks the user for consent first. Download failures are non-fatal: the server still\nserves prompts, and Scout re-fetches anything missing on its next run.\n\n## Versioning\n\nThis package's version (`package.json`) is a **separate track** from the skill markdown's\nversion (`public/plugin-version.json` in the backend repo).
