[License](#license)\n\n## Description\n\nFollowing deployment, the Serverless Framework does not have the option to enable termination protection for the CloudFormation stack. This plugin will enable the termination protection. It can also disable it by using a command line option. This plugin is designed for the Serverless Framework 1.x and above.\n\n## Requirements\n\n- Serverless Framework 3.x or greater.\n- Node 8.x or greater.\n- NPM 6.x or greater.\n\n## Installation\n\n### Installing the Serverless Framework\n\nVisit the [Getting Started with the Serverless Framework](https://serverless.com/framework/docs/getting-started) to get started with the Serverless Framework.\n\nInstall with **npm**:\n\n```sh\nnpm install -g serverless\n```\n\n### Installing the Plugin\n\nInstall with **npm**:\n\n```sh\nnpm install --save-dev @aldenquimby/serverless-stack-termination-protection\n```\n\nAnd then add the plugin to your `serverless.yml` file:\n\n```yaml\nplugins:\n  - '@aldenquimby/serverless-stack-termination-protection'\n```\n\nSee the [example(s)](./examples).\n\n## Using the Plugin\n\n### Automatically Enable Termination Protection After Deployment\n\nThis plugin enables termination protection automatically after the deployment. Simply run the **deploy**:\n\n```sh\nsls deploy\n```\n\n### Automatically Disable Termination Protection After Deployment\n\nThis plugin can disable termination protection automatically after the deployment.\n\nSimply run the **deploy** with the **--param** option:\n\n```sh\nsls deploy --param disable-termination-protection\n```\n\nIf you are using multiple params, make sure to separate them:\n\n```sh\nsls deploy --param disable-termination-protection --param some-other-param\n```\n\n### Apply Protection to Specified Stages\n\nYou may apply protection for specific stages by listing the stages under a **serverlessTerminationProtection** custom property in the serverless yaml file.\n\n```yaml\ncustom:\n  serverlessTerminationProtection:\n    stages:\n      - prod\n```\n\n### Notes\n\nFuture version will:\n\n* Delete the stack forceably using `sls remove --force`.\n\nPlease request features or report problems using the [issues](https://github.com/aldenquimby/serverless-stack-termination-protection/issues) page.\n\n## License\n\nSee the included [LICENSE](LICENSE) for rights and limitations under the terms of the MIT license.\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_rev":"1-e0327c07f56c3544b20d8bfacb535a70"}
