This package requires an API key to be set via environment variable.\n\nAn MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides access to Google Trends data through the Google Trends Scraper API.\n\n## Features\n\n- **Status**: Check the API status and health\n- **Questions**: Get trending questions from Google Trends\n- **Trending**: Get currently trending topics from Google Trends\n\n## Installation\n\n### Option 1: Using npx (Recommended)\n```bash\n# Set your API key first\nexport GOOGLE_TRENDS_API_KEY=\"your-api-key-here\"\n\n# Run directly with npx\nnpx @andrewlwn77/google-trends-mcp\n```\n\n### Option 2: Global Installation\n```bash\nnpm install -g @andrewlwn77/google-trends-mcp\n```\n\n### Option 3: Local Development\n```bash\ngit clone <repository-url>\ncd google-trends-mcp\nnpm install\nnpm run build\n```\n\n## Configuration\n\n**Optional**: You can set the `GOOGLE_TRENDS_API_KEY` environment variable. If not set, a default API key will be used.\n\n1. Get an API key from [RapidAPI Google Trends Scraper](https://rapidapi.com/google-trends-scraper1/api/google-trends-scraper1)\n2.
