without being constrained by any particular blockchain. However, infrastructure for the submission and auditing of the Operators' work is required.\nOne of the primary goals of Othentic is to support diverse node tasks to enable AVS’s Operators to submit unique task specifications.\nOperator tasks can be classified into two primary categories:\nOn-chain tasks - include arbitrary transactions that Operators are required to execute as part of core responsibilities.\nOff-chain tasks - occur outside the blockchain and require a different approach for submission and validation.\n\nYou can find more information in our gitbook: https://othentic.gitbook.io/\n\n## 🎮 Usage\n### Prerequisites\n- Node 22.6 (preferably via NVM)\n- OpenSSL\n\nInstall the Othentic CLI via npm:\n```\nnpm i -g @artur-abliazimov/cli\n```\n\nIt is also possible to run `othentic-cli` via `npx` with:\n```\nnpx othentic-cli [args]\n```\n\n### Commands\nThe available commands are divided into subcommands:\n- `othentic-cli node <mode> [args]`\n- `othentic-cli network <action> [args]`\n- `othentic-cli operator <action> [args]`\n- `othentic-cli wallet <action> [args]`\n\nUse the `-h` flag to see the help text for each command.\n\n## ⚙️ P2P Setup\n\n### .env file\nChange the `.env.example` file to `.env` and add the empty values as per the\ndocumentation.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> The `.env.example` file contains a bootstrap seed & id. While you can use\n> these for starters, it is recommended to generate a new seed & id (see below).\n\n### Aggregator node\nAn Aggregator node is required for the AVS to function.\nRun it using the following command:\n```console\nothentic-cli node aggregator\n```\n\n### Attester nodes\nYou can have as many attester nodes as you like. Every participant in your AVS\nshould be able (or even required) to run an attester node.\nAttester nodes need to know the address of the Aggregator node, as the\naggregator node also acts as a bootstrap node (see below for details about the\narchitecture).\n\nTo run an attester node, use the following command:\n```console\nothentic-cli node attester /ip4/<BOOTSTRAP_IP>/tcp/9876/p2p/<BOOTSTRAP_NODE_ID>\n```\n\nTo use DNS resolution, use this format:\n```console\nothentic-cli node attester /dns/<DOMAIN_NAME>/tcp/9876/p2p/<BOOTSTRAP_NODE_ID>\n```\n\n### Generating bootstrap seed & id\nYour bootstrap node requires a seed for its encrypted transport. A bootstrap\nseed is simply a random 32-byte sequence.\n\nTo generate a new bootstrap seed, use `openssl`:\n```console\nopenssl rand -hex 32\n```\n\nIf you like to immediately insert it into the `.env`, use the following command:\n```console\necho \"OTHENTIC_BOOTSTRAP_SEED=$(openssl rand -hex 32)\" >> .env\n```\n\nOnce you added the new seed to your `.env`, use the `aggregator get-id` command:\n```console\nothentic-cli node aggregator get-id\n...\nYour node ID is:\n12D3KooWBNFG1QjuF3UKAKvqhdXcxh9iBmj88cM5eU2EK5Pa91KB\n✨  Done in 3.72s.\n```\n\nCopy the generated node ID and save it in your `.env`:\n```\nOTHENTIC_BOOTSTRAP_ID=12D3KooWBNFG1QjuF3UKAKvqhdXcxh9iBmj88cM5eU2EK5Pa91KB\n```\n\n## 📐 Architecture\nThe Othentic Framework utilizes [libp2p](https://docs.libp2p.io/) for inter-node communication.\n\nTwo node types exist:\n- Attesters\n- Aggregator\n\nThe Othentic Framework lets you deploy a whole network including boostrapped\npeer discovery which allows nodes to find each other over the network.\n\n### Bootstrap node\nThe Aggregator node also plays the part of a bootstrap node. A bootstrap node is\nthe node responsible for connecting peers on the network. Every peer initially\nconnects to the bootstrap node to discover other peers. You can also run multiple\nbootstrap nodes spread out geographically.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> The bootstrap node is a crucial part of your P2P network. It should have high\n> availability so new nodes can join the network. If the bootstrap node is\n> down, new nodes cannot join the network (existing nodes continue to work).\n\n### Aggregator\nThe Aggregator (which also plays the role of a bootstrap node) listens to events\nfrom the Attester nodes and monitors the necessary voting power which validated\neach task. If enough voting power validated the task, the Attester submits the\ntask onchain.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> Currently the Aggregator node also acts as your bootstrap node. This might\n> change in the future.\n\n### Attesters\nThe Attester nodes are responsible for attesting to tasks. Every task they see\nmust be attested as either \"valid\" or \"invalid\".
