<https://github.com/amey0309/node-red-contrib-kafkajs>\r\n> It also depends on KafkaJS to do the basic functionality, you can find more info at: <https://kafka.js.org/>\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\n> [__Note 2__]\r\n>\r\n> KAFKA is a registered trademark of The Apache Software Foundation. This project has no affiliation with and is not endorsed by The Apache Software Foundation.\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nWith these nodes you can consume and produce messages to the Kafka broker and the big difference between this and the other projects found at Node-RED is better handling errors and node outputs to notify events. As the project at the top of this document, these nodes are a wrapper of the library KafkaJS, and it just pipes the data to the provided functionality of that library.\r\n\r\nThis library provides 3 nodes to make basic communication:\r\n\r\n* kafkajs-broker\r\n* kafkajs-producer\r\n* kafkajs-consumer\r\n\r\nIt lets the flow send data to the Kafka Broker in the desired format and allows the user to send a Buffer object as the key and value of the message, this allows your flows to communicate with native data types if needed. It also provides a list of types that it can serialize automatically without the need to create an extra node for the data conversion, including serializing to JSON.\r\n\r\nAdvanced authentication is still missing tests, I'm rellying on the background projects.\r\n\r\n## Input Parameters\r\n\r\n### kafkajs-broker\r\n\r\n* __Name__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n The name wanted to be shown in Node.\r\n\r\n* __Brokers__\r\n\r\n Brokers comma delimited (Multiple host is provided).\r\n\r\n* __Client ID__\r\n\r\n The ID of the client that is used to connect to Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n* __Request Timeout__\r\n\r\n Request timeout of Kafka Client.\r\n\r\n* __Connection Timeout__\r\n\r\n Connection timeout of Kafka Client.\r\n\r\n* __Log Level__\r\n\r\n Log level of Kafka Cient.\r\n\r\n#### Authentication\r\n\r\n* __TLS__\r\n\r\n Check if TLS security is required for the Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n  * __CA Certs__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n CA Root certificate path defined in Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n  * __Client Cert__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n Client cert path created by OpenSSL derived from Private Key (pem).\r\n\r\n  * __Private Key__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n Private Key path created by OpenSSL (pem).\r\n\r\n  * __Passphare__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n A passphrase of created Private Key.\r\n\r\n* __SASL/PLAIN__\r\n\r\n Check if SASL auth is required for the Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n  * __Mechanism__\r\n\r\n The method used to send authentication data to the server.\r\n\r\n  * __Username__\r\n\r\n Username to connect to Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n  * __Password__\r\n\r\n Password to connect to Kafka Cluster.\r\n\r\n  * __Use SSL__\r\n\r\n Activate SSL Connection.\r\n\r\n#### Advanced Retry Options\r\n\r\nAdvanced Retry Options of Kafka Client.\r\n\r\n* __Max. Retry__\r\n\r\n For automatic connection retry use a maximum wait time between retries, each retry will wait a bit more time. Value is in milliseconds.\r\n\r\n* __Init. Retry__\r\n\r\n For automatic connection retry start by using this delay between retries. Value is in milliseconds.\r\n\r\n* __Factor__\r\n* __Multiplier__\r\n\r\n* __Retries__\r\n\r\n Maximum of retries until the client gives up.\r\n\r\n### kafkajs-producer\r\n\r\n* __Name__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n The name wanted to be shown on your node.\r\n\r\n* __Broker__\r\n\r\n Broker which is wanted to be connected.\r\n\r\n* __Topic__\r\n\r\n Topic name of selected broker which is wanted to be consumed.\r\n\r\n* __Serialize key as__\r\n\r\n Make it easy to process the messages as it provides some basic serializers for the data received on `msg` key property.\r\n\r\n* __Serialize value as__\r\n\r\n Make it easy to process the messages as it provides some basic serializers for the data received on `msg` payload property.\r\n\r\n* __Advanced Options__\r\n\r\n Advanced options of Producer.\r\n\r\nThe node can receive a message (msg object above payload) with the following properties:\r\n\r\n* msg.topic\r\n\r\n The topic that will receive the message. It does not pre-validate if the partition exists, so use it with caution.\r\n\r\n* msg.partition\r\n\r\n If it's needed that a particular partition receives the messages you can set it here, it does not pre-validate if the partition exists, so use it with caution.\r\n\r\n* msg.key\r\n\r\n The key is associated with the message. Can be of type Buffer or some of the basic types supported by the provided serializers.\r\n\r\n* msg.payload\r\n\r\n Set to the value to be sent. Can be of type Buffer or some of the basic types supported by the provided serializers.\r\n\r\n* msg.headers\r\n\r\n Extra info that you can associate with the message. The key and values for the headers should be strings for now.\r\n\r\nIf some of these `msg` properties are set on the properties node, the node properties will prevail.\r\n\r\nThe node also provides two outputs so the flow can continue or react if the node succeeds or fails to send the message to the broker, this allows to cache of the messages not sent to be sent later or to log the error (the catch node will also trigger if any error is thrown by the node). The node outputs are:\r\n\r\n1. Triggered when the message was successfully sent.\r\n1. Triggered when some error occurred to send the message.\r\n\r\n### kafkajs-consumer\r\n\r\n* __Name__ (Optional)\r\n\r\n The name wanted to be shown on your node.\r\n\r\n* __Broker__\r\n\r\n The broker to be connected to.\r\n\r\n* __Group ID__\r\n\r\n Group ID of consumer.
