Billable tools count toward your daily request limit.\n\n## Attaching local images\n\n`try_on`, `refine_sketch`, `image_to_sketch`, and `apply_fabric` all need a publicly fetchable HTTPS URL (fal.ai's workers can't reach files on your laptop). When you drag an image into Claude Desktop or Cursor, the file lands in the chat as base64 — not a URL — so the LLM has no URL to pass.\n\n`upload_image` solves that. Drop the image into chat, then ask the model to use it. It will automatically:\n\n1. Call `upload_image` with the base64 data\n2. Receive back a signed R2 URL (valid ~1 hour)\n3. Pass that URL to `try_on` (or whichever downstream tool you asked for)\n\nYou don't need to mention `upload_image` by name — just say \"try this jacket on Lena\" with the image attached and the LLM picks the right chain. Make sure the `upload_image` scope is enabled on your API key (it's free, so leave it on).\n\nMax file size: **15 MB**.
