This wrapper installs the plugin through\nthe native Codex plugin commands, then copies `swarm-expert.toml` from the installed plugin directory into the\nexpected custom-agent location.\n\n## Install Globally\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer install --global\n```\n\nThis runs:\n\n```sh\ncodex plugin marketplace add automann/swarm-discussion\ncodex plugin add swarm-discussion@swarm-discussion\n```\n\nThen it writes:\n\n```text\n~/.codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml\n```\n\n## Install For A Project\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer install --project\n```\n\nThis writes:\n\n```text\n./.codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml\n```\n\nRun this command from the project root.\n\n## Doctor\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer doctor\n```\n\nThe doctor command does not modify files. It checks:\n\n- Codex CLI availability and version.\n- `swarm-discussion@swarm-discussion` plugin installed and enabled.\n- global custom-agent file.\n- project custom-agent file.\n- TOML `name = \"swarm-expert\"`.\n- file hash equality with the template from the installed `swarm-discussion` plugin.\n\nOptional real spawn smoke test:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer doctor --verify-spawn\n```\n\nThis may consume a Codex model call, so it is opt-in.\n\n## Repair\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer repair --global\n```\n\nor:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer repair --project\n```\n\n`repair` reruns the native Codex plugin install/update commands, reads the current\n`agents/swarm-expert.toml` from the installed plugin, and rewrites the selected custom-agent target when it is\nmissing or stale. It uses the same overwrite policy as `install`.\n\n## Uninstall Custom-Agent Registration\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer uninstall --global\n```\n\nor:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer uninstall --project\n```\n\n`uninstall` only removes the `swarm-expert.toml` custom-agent registration file. It does not remove the Codex\nplugin or marketplace.\n\nThe command is conservative:\n\n- target missing: succeeds as already absent.\n- target matches the installed plugin template: removes it.\n- target differs from the installed plugin template: refuses to remove it.\n\nTo remove a modified file anyway:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer uninstall --global --backup --force\n```\n\n## Clean Uninstall\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer uninstall --global --all\n```\n\nor:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer uninstall --project --all\n```\n\n`--all` is intentionally destructive and does not create backups. It removes:\n\n- the selected custom-agent registration file.\n- the `swarm-discussion@swarm-discussion` Codex plugin.\n- the `swarm-discussion` Codex marketplace.\n\nUse `--global --all` to remove `~/.codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml`. Use `--project --all` from a project root to\nremove `./.codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml`.\n\n## Overwrite Policy\n\nThe installer is idempotent and refuses to silently overwrite a different existing agent file.\n\nUse a backup:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer install --global --backup\n```\n\nForce overwrite without a backup:\n\n```sh\nnpx @automann/swarm-discussion-installer install --global --force\n```\n\n## Manual Fallback\n\nManual copy is a troubleshooting path, not the normal install path:\n\n```sh\nmkdir -p ~/.codex/agents\ncp /path/to/installed/swarm-discussion/plugins/codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml ~/.codex/agents/swarm-expert.toml\n```\n\nYou can find the installed plugin path with:\n\n```sh\ncodex plugin list | rg swarm-discussion@swarm-discussion\n```\n","readmeFilename":"README.md"}
