It accesses Reddit data by appending `.json` to Reddit URLs and sets a custom User-Agent header to avoid rate limiting.\n\nThe server:\n1. Accepts requests through the MCP protocol\n2. Makes HTTP requests to Reddit's JSON endpoints\n3. Parses and formats the response data\n4. Returns beautifully formatted results with emojis and markdown\n\n## Limitations\n\n- Uses Reddit's public API (no authentication required)\n- Rate limits apply (be mindful of request frequency)\n- Some subreddits may be private or restricted\n- Only retrieves top posts from the past 7 days\n- Maximum of 25 results per request\n\n## Development\n\n### Building\n```bash\nnpm run build\n```\n\n### Watch Mode\n```bash\nnpm run watch\n```\n\n### Testing\n```bash\nnpm run inspector\n```\n\n## Error Handling\n\nThe server handles common errors:\n- Invalid subreddit names\n- Private or non-existent subreddits  \n- Network errors\n- Invalid parameters\n- Rate limiting\n\nAll errors return user-friendly messages explaining the issue.\n\n## License\n\nMIT\n\n## Contributing\n\nContributions are welcome! Please feel free to submit a Pull Request.\n\n## Support\n\nFor issues or questions, please open an issue on GitHub.","readmeFilename":"README.md","_rev":"1-650a33d6e2abf0a46abfa2bed0beac83"}
