Six skills do the reasoning; a deterministic Node.js CLI\nvalidates, records, gates, confirms, and advances schema-v2 workflow state in\nthe repository. Ordinary use does not call an LLM or any external provider.\n\n## Agent-first quick start\n\nRequires Node.js 22 or newer on macOS, Linux, or Windows.\n\n```bash\nnpm install --global @axiqo/ai\ncd my-project\naxiqo init --agents codex,claude\naxiqo workflow start --id FEATURE-01\n```\n\nThen ask the installed agent to run the relevant Axiqo architecture skill. The\nskills inspect `axiqo workflow status --id FEATURE-01 --json`, produce one\nartifact at a time, and use the CLI for deterministic writes. At a human\ncheckpoint the agent must ask you; only an explicit affirmative response may\nbe followed by `axiqo workflow confirm ... --yes`.\n\n## Direct CLI quick start\n\n```bash\naxiqo capabilities --json\naxiqo workflow status --id FEATURE-01 --json\naxiqo artifact validate --file architecture.json --json\naxiqo artifact record --workflow FEATURE-01 --file architecture.json --json\naxiqo gate evaluate --workflow FEATURE-01 --file gate.json --json\naxiqo workflow advance --id FEATURE-01 --json\n```\n\n## Command reference\n\nAll commands accept `--root PATH` where applicable. `--json` emits stable,\ncanonical JSON. Mutating installer and workflow commands accept `--dry-run`.\n\n```text\naxiqo init --agents codex,claude\naxiqo skills install|status|update|uninstall\naxiqo workflow start|status|confirm|advance|rebuild --id ID\naxiqo artifact validate --file FILE\naxiqo artifact record --workflow ID --file FILE\naxiqo gate evaluate --workflow ID --file FILE\naxiqo scan | check | validate | capabilities | skills-eval\n```\n\n`workflow confirm` prompts `[y/N]` in an interactive terminal. Non-interactive\nuse requires `--yes`, which must only follow an explicit affirmative human\nresponse. Exit code `0` means success or an allowed decision, `1` means a\ndeterministic validation or policy refusal, and `2` means invalid usage,\nownership or locking conflict, missing capability, or operational block.\n\n## Runtime, installation, and storage\n\nAxiqo supports Node.js 22 and newer on macOS, Linux, and Windows. It installs\nproject-owned copies of its skills in `.agents/skills/` and/or\n`.claude/skills/`, records their hashes in `.axiqo/installation.json`, and\nprotects locally modified copies unless `--force` is explicit.\n\nEach workflow lives under `.axiqo/workflows/<workflow-id>/`. Artifact, gate,\nand confirmation snapshots are immutable; `state.json` is a derived\nprojection that `workflow rebuild` can recreate. Writes use a same-directory\ntemporary file and atomic rename where supported, immutable paths use\nexclusive creation, and a per-workflow lock refuses concurrent writers.\nManaged paths reject absolute paths, traversal, and symlink escape.\n\nArtifact schema version 2 is the only supported persisted contract. Schema v1\nis rejected and has no compatibility parser or migration. Snapshot hashes are\nSHA-256 over canonical JSON; graph validation checks upstream references,\ncycles, traceability, exact gate evidence, confirmations, staleness, and the\nallowed workflow transition without accessing Git, the network, or an LLM.\n\n## Trust boundaries\n\n- A confirmation is an auditable assertion, not authentication or a digital\n  attestation. Confirmation records intentionally contain no actor identity.\n- Snapshot freshness and cryptographic attestations are unsupported and are\n  reported as capability limits; Axiqo never simulates them.\n- Axiqo never performs Git branch creation, checkout, commit, merge, push, or\n  PR creation. Implementation skills require separate authorization for Git.\n- Workflow state contains no secrets, credentials, provider responses, or raw\n  model transcripts. Ordinary CLI use makes no network request.\n\nThe public beta has no extension execution API. The extension roadmap may add\na manifest and optional plugin SDK in a future release, but it is not a\ncompatibility promise. Snapshot freshness, actor identity, signatures, and\ncryptographic attestations remain explicit unsupported capabilities.\n\nThe first public beta is `0.1.0-beta.1`; artifact schema version `2` is an\nindependent version. There is no schema-v1 migration path in this beta.\n\n## Release trust boundary\n\nRelease evaluation is deliberately two-phase and requires at least five repetitions.\nA real provider first writes a pending transcript outside the\nrepository. A maintainer performs manual review of that exact transcript, then\nthe CLI finalizes it as sanitized\n`release-evidence/v<package-version>.json` without raw responses. Run\n`pnpm eval:skills:release --verify-evidence <file>` before committing the\nevidence. The tag workflow verifies the committed file against the package\nversion and current skill/eval-manifest hashes; it never starts an LLM\nprovider. Raw transcripts and provider responses must never enter Git.\n\nThe first npm publication is a separate owner bootstrap because trusted\npublishing can only be configured after the package exists. Repository tests\ndo not log in, publish, create tags, configure trust, or change GitHub/npm\nsettings. Subsequent beta publication is designed for npm OIDC through the\nprotected `npm` environment.\n\n## Development\n\n```bash\npnpm install --frozen-lockfile\npnpm check\npnpm test\npnpm build:package\n```\n\nContributions are welcome under the [MIT license](LICENSE). Read\n[CONTRIBUTING.md](CONTRIBUTING.md) and [SECURITY.md](SECURITY.md) first.\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_rev":"1-44c98a1a97598090323a99331caed11a"}
