The goal is a clean npm install path for MCP clients that only need the standalone server.\n\n## Install\n\nGlobal install:\n\n```bash\nnpm install -g @kanbanai/kanbanmcp-mcp\n```\n\nOne-off run with `npx`:\n\n```bash\nnpx -y @kanbanai/kanbanmcp-mcp init\nnpx -y @kanbanai/kanbanmcp-mcp start\n```\n\n## Configure\n\nCreate the default config file:\n\n```bash\nkanbanmcp init\n```\n\nThis writes:\n\n```text\n~/.kanbanmcp/config.env\n```\n\nThen edit the file and set the providers you need.
