the n8n community nodes documentation.\n\n### Community Node Installation\n\n1. Go to **Settings > Community Nodes** in your n8n instance\n2. Click **Install**\n3. Enter `@c3toronto/n8n-nodes-pco` in the npm Package Name field\n4. Agree to the risks and click **Install**\n\nAfter installation, the Planning Center People node will appear in your nodes panel.\n\n### Manual Installation (Self-Hosted)\n\n```bash\ncd ~/.n8n\nnpm install @c3toronto/n8n-nodes-pco\n```\n\nThen restart your n8n instance.\n\n## Prerequisites\n\nYou need the following:\n\n1. [n8n](https://n8n.io/) installation (self-hosted or cloud)\n2. A [Planning Center Online](https://www.planningcenteronline.com/) account\n3. Planning Center API credentials (Personal Access Token)\n\n## Operations\n\n### Planning Center People\n\nFull access to the **Planning Center People API v2**, including operations for:\n\n- **People** - Manage person records and profiles\n- **Lists** - Create and manage dynamic lists of people\n- **Forms** - Access form submissions and responses\n- **Households** - Manage household relationships\n- **Campuses** - Access campus information\n- **Field Definitions** - Work with custom fields\n- **Notes** - Add and retrieve notes on person profiles\n- **Addresses** - Manage contact addresses\n- **Phone Numbers** - Manage contact phone numbers\n- **Emails** - Manage contact email addresses\n- **Workflows** - Access workflow data\n- **Messages** - View message history\n- **And many more...**\n\nEach operation supports filtering, pagination, and additional parameters through the \"Additional Fields\" option.\n\n### PCO Workflow Actions\n\nQuery and perform actions on workflow cards:\n\n- **Get Cards** - Fetch active workflow cards across multiple workflows, optionally filtered by step IDs. Accepts comma-separated workflow IDs and step IDs. Handles pagination automatically.\n- **Skip Step** - Skip the current step on a workflow card\n- **Promote** - Complete the current step and advance the card. Optionally enable \"Promote Until Completed\" to loop until the card reaches Completed status.\n- **Go Back** - Move a workflow card back one step\n- **Skip to Step** - Skip forward repeatedly until reaching a target step (with configurable max skips safety limit)\n\n**Get Cards** requires **Workflow IDs**. All other operations require a **Person ID** and **Workflow Card ID**. The node handles PCO rate limiting automatically with retry logic.\n\n## Credentials\n\nTo connect to Planning Center Online, you'll need to create a Personal Access Token:\n\n1. Log in to your Planning Center account\n2. Go to your [Personal Access Tokens page](https://api.planningcenteronline.com/oauth/applications)\n3. Click **New Personal Access Token**\n4. Give it a name (e.g., \"n8n Integration\")\n5. Copy the **Application ID** and **Secret**\n\nIn n8n, create a new \"People API\" credential with:\n- **URL**: `https://api.planningcenteronline.com/people/v2` (default)\n- **Client ID**: Your Application ID\n- **Client Secret**: Your Secret\n\n## Compatibility\n\n- **Tested with n8n version**: 1.120.4+\n- **Planning Center People API**: v2\n- **Node version**: 18.10 or higher\n\n## Usage\n\n### Example 1: Get All People\n\n1. Add the **Planning Center People** node\n2. Select **Resource**: Person\n3. Select **Operation**: GET /people\n4. Configure any filters in **Additional Fields** (optional)\n5. Execute the workflow\n\n### Example 2: Get Form Submissions\n\n1. Add the **Planning Center People** node\n2. Select **Resource**: Form\n3. Select **Operation**: GET /forms/{form_id}/form_submissions\n4. Enter the **Form Id**\n5. Add filters in **Additional Fields** if needed (e.g., date ranges)\n6. Execute the workflow\n\n### Example 3: Update a Person's Information\n\n1. Add the **Planning Center People** node\n2. Select **Resource**: Person\n3. Select **Operation**: PATCH /people/{person_id}\n4. Enter the **Person Id**\n5. Configure the fields to update in **Additional Fields**\n6. Execute the workflow\n\n### Example 4: Get Cards on Specific Steps\n\n1. Add the **PCO Workflow Actions** node\n2. Select **Operation**: Get Cards\n3. Enter **Workflow IDs**: `689436,689442` (comma-separated)\n4. Enter **Step IDs (Filter)**: `1868744,1953596` (comma-separated, or leave empty for all active cards)\n5. Execute the workflow — returns one item per matching card with `card_id`, `person_id`, `step_id`, `step_name`\n\n### Example 5: Promote a Card to Completed\n\n1. Add the **PCO Workflow Actions** node\n2. Select **Operation**: Promote\n3. Enter the **Person ID** and **Workflow Card ID**\n4. Enable **Promote Until Completed** to keep promoting until the card reaches Completed status\n5. Execute the workflow\n\n### Example 6: Skip a Workflow Card to a Specific Step\n\n1. Add the **PCO Workflow Actions** node\n2. Select **Operation**: Skip to Step\n3. Enter the **Person ID** and **Workflow Card ID**\n4. Enter the **Target Step ID** to skip to\n5. Optionally adjust **Max Skips** (default: 10)\n6.
