Clone it on each machine, sync changes with\nGit, and use the bundled `skills` CLI to scan, plan, install, update, and publish\nskills.\n\n## Layout\n\n- `SKILLS.md` - canonical skill index\n- `skills/` - reusable skill packages\n- `tools/` - supporting utilities such as stylometry\n- `bin/skills.js` - CLI entrypoint\n- `src/` - installer implementation\n\n## CLI\n\nRun from the marketplace checkout:\n\n```bash\nnode ./bin/skills.js scan\nnode ./bin/skills.js doctor\nnode ./bin/skills.js plan idea-intake --scope project --agent both\nnode ./bin/skills.js install idea-intake --scope project --agent both\n```\n\nAfter packaging or linking the repo, the same commands become:\n\n```bash\nskills scan\nskills install idea-intake --scope global --agent codex\n```\n\n## Discovery Model\n\nThe installer scans recursively. A skill package is any directory containing a\n`SKILL.md`; everything beside it, such as `tools/`, `references/`, `examples/`,\nor manifest files, travels with that skill.\n\nFor project skills, the CLI starts at the current working directory and walks\nupward to the nearest `.git` directory. That nearest Git root is the project\nscope. If you are working in a subfolder, you still use the parent repo's project\nskills. A nested Git repo gets its own project scope.\n\nGlobal skills are read from:\n\n```text\n~/.codex/skills\n~/.claude/skills\n```\n\nResolution precedence is:\n\n```text\nproject skills > marketplace skills > global skills\n```\n\nAgent-specific skills win for their agent when metadata or path layout indicates\n`codex` or `claude`; otherwise a skill is treated as shared and installable for\nboth.\n\n## Install Model\n\n`install` always performs a scan and prints a plan before writing. Use `--yes` to\naccept the plan non-interactively.\n\nProject installs write adapters into:\n\n```text\n<project-root>/.codex/skills/<skill-name>\n<project-root>/.claude/skills/<skill-name>\n```\n\nGlobal installs write adapters into:\n\n```text\n~/.codex/skills/<skill-name>\n~/.claude/skills/<skill-name>\n```\n\nThe installer tries a symlink first and falls back to copying the skill package\nif symlinks are unavailable.\n\n## Commands\n\n- `skills scan` - recursively discover project, marketplace, and global skills\n- `skills list` - alias for `scan`\n- `skills doctor` - show validation issues\n- `skills plan <skill>` - show install destinations and conflicts\n- `skills install <skill>` - scan, validate, plan, confirm, then install\n- `skills update` - scan, confirm, then `git pull --ff-only`\n- `skills publish` - show status, confirm, then `git push`\n- `skills diff` - show marketplace Git diff\n- `skills remove` - remove symlinked installs; non-symlink folders are refused\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_rev":"1-6a1c3edcdf19b1d296d0ca68e01621ae"}
