It allows apps like Claude Desktop to connect to MCP servers using the [Streamable HTTP transport](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/specification/2025-03-26/basic/transports#streamable-http) when `http` is not allowed.\n\n>  Note: Use this in trusted environments for local MCP servers on unencrypted connections. Only transport-level concerns are handled:\n\n- Session management via `mcp-session-id` header\n- SSE connection with automatic reconnection\n- Graceful shutdown with session cleanup\n\nTransport errors cause the bridge to exit, mimicking broken pipe behavior for the client.\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_rev":"1-48860dd962202eb9e94cb7fb9151d8ec"}
