It does not use an external API or RPC endpoint, request\nwallet accounts, access the internet, or store lookup data.\n\n## Development\n\n```sh\nnpm install\nnpm start\n```\n\n`npm start` builds the Snap and serves it at\n`local:http://localhost:8081`. Install that development build from a page with\nMetaMask available:\n\n```js\nawait ethereum.request({\n  method: 'wallet_requestSnaps',\n  params: {\n    'local:http://localhost:8081': {},\n  },\n});\n```\n\nYou can then enter a `.gwei` name in MetaMask's recipient field. MetaMask also\nuses the Snap for reverse lookups when it displays addresses.\n\n## Checks\n\n```sh\nnpm run typecheck\nnpm test\n```\n\nThe tests execute the bundled Snap in MetaMask's Snap test environment and\nmock only the underlying JSON-RPC responses.\n\n## Publishing\n\nThe production Snap identifier is\n`npm:@donnoh/gwei-name-service-snap`.
