Drop-in \n\n```\n\n## Why AIditor\n\nEditor applications often rebuild the same infrastructure before they can work\non their actual domain: docks, tabs, toolbars, property panels, settings,\nthemes, logs, command surfaces, workspace access, and now AI operations.\nAIditor packages those generic editor primitives without turning them into a\nspecific editor product.\n\n- **Pure frontend**: classic `\n```\n\nPublished files are intentionally runtime-only:\n\n| Bundle | Includes | Use When |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| `aiditor-theme` | theme runtime, tokens, and all built-in themes | You only need AIditor theming. Its controls are used directly through\n`aiditor.ui.*`.\n`aiditor-editor` includes those generic editor widgets. Both are standalone\nalternatives to `aiditor-kernel` + `aiditor-ui`; do not load these bundles\ntogether. Shortcuts normalize\nkeys, resolve generic UI targets, and route to `aiditor.commands.run`; the\nframework does not define app-level shortcut policy. History supports\nsync/async `jump`, `undo`, and `redo`, and the built-in `history` panel binds to\nnamed history instances without owning project saved state. It also includes reusable editor\nprimitives such as `actionBar`, `section` header actions, `arrayEditor`,\n`propertyList`, `propertyForm`, `structInput`, and `vectorInput`.\n\n`arrayEditor` owns generic list interactions such as selection, active row,\nadd/delete/duplicate, and reorder feedback while callers keep item structure,\nvalidation, history, and persistence. `arrayInput` remains the simple\ncompatibility facade used by schema forms.\n\n`propertyList` owns keyed expandable object chrome around `propertyForm`: title,\nsummary, item actions, field row actions, collapsed state, and stable refresh\nwithout rebuilding unchanged item DOM.\n\n### Inspector\n\nInspector is provider-based. Domain validation, undo history,\npersistence, and object semantics stay in the host app.\n\n### Themes\n\nBuilt-in theme metadata is exposed by `aiditor.theme`:\n\n```js\naiditor.theme.modeOptions()\naiditor.theme.modeIds()\naiditor.theme.set('neon')\n```\n\nCustom themes should start from semantic authoring tokens such as\n`--aiditor-surface-*`, `--aiditor-text-*`, `--aiditor-stroke-*`,\n`--aiditor-brand`, and `--aiditor-state-*`. Visual style beyond color is also\nthemeable through appearance role tokens for control/surface radius, border\nwidth, elevation, root texture, and small accent geometry.\n\nTheme ids and labels are framework metadata, not demo-local constants. Runtime\nconsumers should read `aiditor.theme.modeOptions()` or\n`aiditor.theme.modeIds()` instead of maintaining duplicate theme lists.\n\n## Built-In AI Host\n\nThe optional AI Host is a framework layer for editor-aware agents. Operations expose previewable\nand applyable mutations. ChangeSets group reviewed changes. Permission checks,\nworkspace writes, operation apply, extension install, and host-adapter calls all\ngo through one resolver.\n\nAI transcripts are durably persisted in IndexedDB, independently from the\nbounded context sent to a model:\n\n```js\naiditor.ai.configurePersistence({\n namespace: 'my-editor',\n})\n\nawait aiditor.ai.persistence.ready()\n```\n\nPersistence keeps the complete JSON-safe transcript, including older messages\nand tool results. `localStorage` contains only a small synchronous Agent\nbootstrap manifest. Separate apps should use separate namespaces; when omitted,\nAIditor derives one from the current location. New agents inherit the last\nselected connection/model when available, then fall back to the active/default\nconnection.\n\n`aiditor-ai` and `aiditor-full` also include built-in authoring skills:\n\n- `aiditor.runtime-authoring`: for agents running inside a live AIditor host,\n editing workspace files and mounting panels into current docks.\n- `aiditor.library-authoring`: for agents using AIditor as a library in a\n repository or host app.\n\nGenerated API and skill references are available to agents through\n`aiditor://api` and `aiditor://skills`.\n\nHosts can register inline `SkillSpec` profiles or load a standard `SKILL.md`\nfolder from the bounded workspace with `aiditor.ai.skills.loadPackage()`.\nPackage references are read on demand; package scripts are never executed and\nall executable behavior remains in the permission-checked Tool registry.\n\n## Extension Runtime\n\nExtensions package contributions into existing registries:\n\n```text\ncomponents\ndock panels\ntools\nskills\ncontext providers\nreference providers\noperations\nsettings\ncommands\nmenus\n```\n\nAn extension does not create a second component model or AI model.
