See [Project-local symlinks](#project-local-symlinks) for `--project` / `--target` behavior.\n\n## WorkBuddy Integration\n\n[WorkBuddy](https://www.codebuddy.cn/) loads user-level skills from `~/.workbuddy/skills/<name>/`, which isn't one of the platforms that the `aae` CLI auto-detects. A bundled helper script, `install-skills.sh`, symlinks **each skill individually** from this repo into `~/.workbuddy/skills/` so you can keep editing skills in-repo (and have changes take effect immediately) while still installing third-party WorkBuddy skills side-by-side without polluting this repo.\n\n```bash\n# From the repo root (idempotent — safe to re-run after adding skills):\n./install-skills.sh\n```\n\nThe script:\n\n- Symlinks **each skill directory** from `skills/<name>/` into `~/.workbuddy/skills/<name>/` (one symlink per skill, not a single top-level symlink).\n- **Protects third-party skills**: if `~/.workbuddy/skills/<name>/` already exists as a real directory (installed through WorkBuddy itself), it's left untouched with a `SKIP` warning.\n- **Auto-migrates** a legacy whole-directory symlink at `~/.workbuddy/skills` → flat per-skill symlinks.\n- Is path-independent: it resolves the repo root from `$BASH_SOURCE`, so `git clone` anywhere and run it — no hard-coded paths.\n\nTypical workflow:\n\n```bash\n# Add a new skill to the repo\ncd /path/to/aae\n# ...author skills/my-new-skill/SKILL.md...\n./install-skills.sh             # link it into WorkBuddy\ngit add skills/my-new-skill && git commit -m \"add my-new-skill\"\n\n# On a fresh machine\ngit clone <this repo> ~/repos/aae\ncd ~/repos/aae && ./install-skills.sh\n```\n\nEdits in `skills/<name>/` are visible to WorkBuddy immediately (symlinks are live). Conversely, when WorkBuddy edits one of these skills, changes land directly in this git repo — `git status` shows them ready to commit.\n\n### Per-skill local config\n\nSome skills read a local, **non-git** config file to customize behavior per machine.
