It scans your project, understands its architecture, and exposes a universal protocol that any AI agent — Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex CLI, Cursor, Windsurf — can connect to for project-aware assistance.\n\nThe harness **learns** from your codebase over time. It detects naming conventions, architectural patterns, styling preferences, and routing structures, then tailors its suggestions to match your project's unique style.\n\n```\nnpx vectalon init    # Scan project, build context\nnpx vectalon serve   # Start MCP server for agents\n```\n\n---\n\n## Features\n\n### Universal Agent Protocol\nNot locked to any single AI agent. rn-vectalon speaks **MCP** (Model Context Protocol) by default, plus stdio, SSE, and HTTP modes. Any agent that supports these protocols gets full project context.\n\n### Project-Aware Intelligence\nThe harness scans your entire RN app — `package.json`, folder structure, components, imports, metro config, TypeScript setup, navigation patterns. Agents get rich context, not just a file tree.\n\n### Self-Evolving Memory\nrn-vectalon learns as your project grows:\n- Detects naming conventions (PascalCase vs camelCase components)\n- Recognizes architecture patterns (React Navigation, StyleSheet usage, state management)\n- Records decisions and their outcomes\n- Adapts its suggestions to match your codebase\n\n### Multi-Role SDLC Harness\n\nBeyond the v0.1 core, rn-vectalon ships deterministic SDLC modules covering the\nwhole lifecycle — **57 MCP tools** (50 always available; 5 more when a\nknowledge base is present; 2 more when a team brain is configured), all\ncallable by any MCP agent:\n\n- **Requirements & BA** — PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, gap analysis,\n  SWOT, support-ticket theming\n- **QA & Engineering** — test plans, deterministic Jest cases from acceptance\n  criteria, bug triage, root-cause analysis, code review, refactor suggestions\n- **Architecture, Security, UX** — ADRs, tradeoff ranking, STRIDE threat models,\n  accessibility checks, design-token extraction, ASCII wireframes\n- **DevOps, Ops, Analytics** — release notes, incident analysis, runbooks, KPI\n  reports\n- **Company Brain** — a typed, versioned, traceable artifact store plus\n  role-scoped context and cross-project team retrieval\n\nPlus the v0.1 development tools: **Component Generator**, **Test Writer**,\n**Debug Analyzer**, **Lint Fixer**, and **Dependency Advisor**.\n\nEvery SDLC tool is **deterministic-first** — it produces useful output with zero\nmodel calls, and can be optionally `enhance`d through the configured model.\n\n### Pluggable Model Layer\nWorks with any model:\n- **Local**: GGUF model via node-llama-cpp for offline use (`vectalon pull`)\n- **WASM (zero-config)**: quantized ONNX code model via `@huggingface/transformers` — downloads on first use, runs on any CPU\n- **OpenAI**: GPT-4o, GPT-4, GPT-3.5\n- **Anthropic**: Claude Sonnet 4, Claude 3.5 Haiku\n- **Custom**: Any API-compatible endpoint\n\n### Model limitations, guardrails, and verification\n\nrn-vectalon is **deterministic-first**. Most tools — the scanner, code review,\nrefactor suggestions, test writer, accessibility checker, and many SDLC modules\n— run without any model and follow curated, RN-specific heuristics.\n\nWhen a model is used (e.g., for implementation generation), keep these\nlimitations in mind:\n\n- **No model knows every React Native best practice.** Models have knowledge\ncutoffs and may be unaware of the latest React Native release, newly deprecated\nAPIs, or your organization's private conventions.\n- **The model doesn't browse the web itself.** Code generation uses the model\nand your project's learned patterns only. What keeps the harness current is the\n**always-on web-aware knowledge refresh** (`vectalon refresh` and the background\nscheduler in `vectalon serve`): it periodically retrieves React Native docs,\nlibrary changelogs, and community best practices, caches them, updates the\nknowledge graph, and surfaces dependency upgrade suggestions — so the model's\nstale training data is supplemented by fresh, project-relevant knowledge.\n- **The local model can call tools.** Tool-enabled requests run in JSON mode via\nnode-llama-cpp's `LlamaJsonSchemaGrammar`, forcing a structured\n`{ \"tool\", \"arguments\" }` / `{ \"answer\" }` envelope. The `run_agent` MCP tool\ndrives a small loop that lets the local LLM call the SDK's own tools (project\ncontext, code review, workflows, and any proxied Metro/Expo MCP tools) and feeds\neach result back until it answers — so the local model becomes a real agent over\nyour toolchain, not just a text generator.\n- **Guardrails are applied before generated code is written.** The implementation phase runs an exhaustive rule set over every generated file and reports the results in the workflow output. Rules cover: `console.log`, inline styles, hardcoded URLs, secrets, `any`, missing error handling, unused imports, state mutation, missing hook deps, heavy work in render, missing accessibility labels, deprecated APIs, platform-specific code, navigation types, naming conventions, safe-area usage, TODO/FIXME comments, TypeScript return types, remote image assets, list virtualization, mutation in hooks/Reducers, `==`/`!=`, `var`, and default component exports.\n- **New Architecture awareness.** The scanner detects whether a project runs the React Native New Architecture (Fabric + bridgeless + TurboModules) from `android/gradle.properties`, `ios/Podfile`, `react-native.config.js`, Expo app config, and RN/Expo version defaults — then guardrails flag Fabric-hostile code (`setNativeProps`, synchronous `NativeModules` calls, native modules without a typed TurboModule spec) and the implementation prompt tells the model to use TurboModule promise APIs instead.\n- **TurboModule & Fabric component scaffolding.** `scaffold_native_module` deterministically generates the full New Architecture native stack from a structured spec: a typed `Native<Module>.ts` TurboModule spec (`TurboModuleRegistry.getEnforcing`), iOS Objective-C++ JSI bindings (`RCTEventEmitter` + promise handlers), Android Kotlin `Module` + `Package` (+ `SimpleViewManager` for Fabric components), a `<Module>.podspec`, `android/build.gradle` library config, and the `react-native.config.js` `codegenConfig` block — with codegen + `pod install` / gradle install steps. The **Expo Modules API** variant emits the `modules/<name>/` layout instead (`requireNativeModule`, Kotlin + Swift `Module` definitions with `AsyncFunction`/`Function`/`Events`, the `View`/`Prop` DSL for Fabric components, and `expo-module.config.json` for autolinking).\n- **Metro bundle analysis & performance budgets.** The code-review phase runs deterministic budget checks on every workflow — libraries over 100 KB, dependencies missing `sideEffects: false`, unoptimized images (>200 KB non-WebP), and oversized static assets — and when the project has a Metro entry point it snapshots a real `react-native bundle --json` build into the knowledge base, warning \"this change increases the bundle by X%\" when a PR grows it >5% vs the previous snapshot. `vectalon bundle` runs the same checks on demand (`--platform`, `--static`).\n- **Simulator/device control + Maestro E2E flows.** `vectalon serve` exposes device tools (`device_boot`, `device_screenshot`, `device_tap`, `device_swipe`, `device_open_url`, `device_logs`, `device_set_voiceover`, `device_accessibility_tree`, `device_announcements`) that drive the iOS Simulator (`xcrun simctl` + `idb`) and Android Emulator (`emulator` + `adb`) — boot, capture screenshots into `.vectalon/artifacts/screenshots/`, inject taps/swipes, open deep links, read logs, and **drive the screen reader** (enable/disable VoiceOver/TalkBack, dump the accessibility tree, read what the screen reader announced). The test-writing phase generates a **Maestro YAML flow** (`.maestro/<feature>.yaml`) straight from the acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then → `launchApp` / `tapOn` / `inputText` / `assertVisible` / `openLink` / `swipe`, ending in a screenshot) — plus an **accessibility variant** (`.maestro/<feature>-accessibility.yaml`) when the request mentions VoiceOver/TalkBack/accessibility, with explicit accessibility-tree selectors (the layer Maestro resolves by default). The verification phase runs those flows with `maestro test` when the CLI and a booted device are available (advisory — E2E never gates the workflow) and, on real runs, captures a **visual verification screenshot** (booting a simulator/emulator when needed) into `.vectalon/artifacts/screenshots/` that is attached to the workflow as a PR artifact.\n- **Visual verification loop.** After implementation, the verification phase boots (or reuses) a simulator/emulator, **deep-links to the newly generated screen** (the app's URL scheme is detected from `app.json` / iOS `Info.plist`, falling back to the package name; the screen is derived from the implementation artifacts), captures a screenshot, and **diffs it against a stored reference image** (`.vectalon/artifacts/reference/`, seeded from Figma frames or known-good screenshots via `visual_capture_reference`). UI regressions — misaligned elements, missing safe-area insets, wrong theme colors — surface as **annotated code-review findings** (severity + rule + message + pixel bounding box) in the verification report and as a design artifact on the PR. `visual_check` runs the diff on demand (device-free when given `path` + `reference`), and `visualCheck.captureReference` seeds a baseline straight from a workflow run.\n- **Figma-to-code bridge.** The Figma REST API (token from `FIGMA_TOKEN` or a `token` arg) feeds the Company Brain with the **external source of truth**: `figma_fetch_design` pulls a file and deterministically extracts design tokens (named FILL colors, TEXT typography, EFFECT shadows, spacing/radius scales) and **component specs** (bounds, corner radius, fills, layout mode, text children). `figma_generate_component` turns a frame into a **React Native component** — sizes, radius, colors, and text map 1:1 from the design, emitting `theme.colors.<token>` references when the palette matches. `review_code` gained a **design-system compliance** section: pass the Figma JSON in `figmaJson` and it flags geometry drift (height/borderRadius vs the spec), off-palette hardcoded colors, and inline hexes that should be tokens — the companion enforces design fidelity, not just code correctness. All parsing is deterministic and offline-testable; the live fetch degrades gracefully when unconfigured.\n- **Monorepo workspace support (V-4).** The scanner detects pnpm / Yarn / npm / Turborepo / Lerna workspaces by walking up for `pnpm-workspace.yaml`, `turbo.json`, `lerna.json`, or a `workspaces` manifest field, maps internal packages (`@acme/ui` → `packages/ui`), and resolves the hoisted `node_modules` root so Metro bundle analysis and static budget checks look in the right place. Context prompts are monorepo-aware — they tell agents this app lives in a workspace, that `react-native` is hoisted to the root, and to avoid adding it to the sub-package's `devDependencies`.\n- **Cross-package impact analysis (V-4).** When a shared package changes, `vectalon impact --changed <files>` (or the `analyze_impact` MCP tool) computes the blast radius across the workspace from the same AST analysis that powers the knowledge graph: which files in which packages consume it, which screens re-render (screen components that render a changed binding), which navigation stacks are involved, and which Maestro E2E flows must run — matched on screen component *and* route names. The report renders as a PR comment (via `--pr <number>`), so \"you changed `Button.tsx` in `@acme/ui` → 12 screens in `@acme/mobile`\" becomes an automatic review comment. Fully deterministic — no model calls.\n- **Autonomous release & monitor pipeline (II-2).** `vectalon release` handles the full lifecycle from \"version bump\" to \"watch it in prod\": it detects the semver bump from git history (breaking → major, feat → minor, fix → patch via conventional-commit keywords) and generates the changelog with the same categorizer as `write_release_notes`; `--submit` writes the release workflow (**EAS Workflows for Expo**, GitHub Actions for bare RN CLI) that runs quality checks → **Maestro E2E on the device farm** → **store submission** (App Store Connect / Play Console), plus a scheduled 24h monitor job; `--monitor --telemetry <dir>` ingests Crashlytics/Sentry exports and **auto-files an incident with a rollback suggestion** when the crash rate exceeds the baseline × threshold (default 2×). `plan_release` and `check_crash_rate` MCP tools expose the same deterministic analysis to agents.\n- **Fine-tuned RN code model (VII).** `vectalon train` curates the fine-tuning dataset from the benchmark's **human reference solutions** — every scenario's prompt + fixture project context is paired with its gold implementation as a ChatML JSONL conversation (`unsloth`/`axolotl`/`LLaMA-Factory` compatible, with a manifest + token stats) — and prints the **LoRA training plan** for Qwen2.5-Coder-1.5B/3B or DeepSeek-Coder-1.3B (hyperparameters scaled to dataset size, plus the train → GGUF convert → eval command chain). The eval step is the benchmark harness itself: `vectalon bench --model local --live --install` scores the fine-tuned model against the very scenarios the dataset was curated from. Custom scenario/reference packs are supported via `--scenarios`/`--references`.\n- **React 19 / React Compiler guardrails (VI-1).** The harness detects the React version and whether `babel-plugin-react-compiler` is wired up (manifest or babel/eslint config), then guardrails flag render-phase `ref.current` mutation, `useEffect` subscriptions without cleanup, React 19 `use()` without a `<Suspense>` boundary, unstable dependency arrays, `forwardRef` on React 19 (use ref-as-prop), and redundant manual `useMemo`/`useCallback` when the Compiler auto-memoizes. Context prompts explain the memoization implications so generated code matches the project's React.\n- **VS Code extension (IV-1).** A thin IDE layer over the exact same MCP server — `extension/` connects to `vectalon serve --protocol http` (auto-starting it when needed) and adds command-palette workflows (run a feature workflow, review/guardrail the current file, generate a component, show project context, search the knowledge base), **inline guardrail status** as Problems-panel diagnostics on save/active-file change with a status-bar summary, and a **Knowledge Base sidebar** that groups the artifact store by type and renders each artifact in a preview panel. No new backend — the extension reuses the existing HTTP tool surface (`GET /tools`, `POST /call`).\n- **Zero-config WASM inference.** A quantized Qwen2.5-Coder model (ONNX via `@huggingface/transformers`, the WASM runtime — no API key, no native build, any CPU) is a first-class model tier: `npm install` + `vectalon feature` produces real model output immediately. Weights download from Hugging Face Hub on first use (progress-cached under the shared model store, `~/.config/rn-vectalon/models/wasm`) and the deterministic stub is now the *graceful fallback*, not the primary path — it only appears when the download fails (e.g. no network). Opt out with `RN_VECTALON_NO_WASM=1`, or pick a specific model/dtype with `RN_VECTALON_WASM_MODEL` / `RN_VECTALON_WASM_DTYPE`.\n- **Live Metro/Hermes companion daemon.** `vectalon daemon` runs in the background and turns the harness proactive instead of reactive: it hooks into **Metro's reporter events** (via a generated reporter wired into `metro.config.js`), **Hermes JS-thread health** (CDP probe over the Metro WebSocket), and **device logs** — feeding live build errors and bundle-size deltas straight into the knowledge base. Every `bundle_build_done` snapshots composition (reusing `vectalon bundle`'s budgets) and diffs it against the previous build to surface proactive tips (\"your last Metro build added lodash — +80 KB; use lodash.debounce instead\"); build failures are persisted as deduped artifacts so they're never lost to a scrolling terminal. `vectalon daemon --once` runs a single probe pass (CI-friendly), `--status`/`--stop` manage it, and `--no-device-probe`/`--wire-metro` control the probe loop and reporter wiring.\n- **SQLite + vector knowledge core.** The Company Brain is backed by a real database when the optional `better-sqlite3` module is available: `.vectalon/knowledge/artifacts.db` in **WAL mode** (concurrent access — two devs or `serve` + the daemon never race on a JSON file), **FTS5 full-text search** (`bm25`-ranked MATCH queries over title + content), **semantic vectors** (KNN via the optional sqlite-vec extension, or identical JS cosine similarity), and **arbitrary SQL** through `store.query()` for traceability joins. Existing `artifacts.json` stores are **migrated automatically** on first open (ids, versions, history, links, meta preserved) and the flat file remains the graceful fallback when the native module can't load (`RN_VECTALON_NO_SQLITE=1` forces it).\n  - System prompts that require real, runnable code and forbid TODOs/placeholders\n  - Convention detection (TypeScript, navigation, StyleSheet) that shapes generated code\n  - A deterministic fallback scaffold when no model is downloaded\n  - Real lint/typecheck/test/native-build verification after implementation\n  - Code-review tools that flag `console.log`, `any`, empty catches, TODOs, and inline styles\n- **Always review generated code.** Run the verification step, inspect the diff,\nand run your own test suite before merging. `vectalon` accelerates the SDLC; it\ndoes not replace engineering judgment.\n\nTo improve output quality you can:\n- Import your own PRDs, ADRs, and conventions into the knowledge base (`vectalon import`)\n- Use a more capable remote model provider (OpenAI/Anthropic) for complex generation\n- Run with `--dry-run` first to preview what the workflow will do\n\n### RN Coding Tests Benchmark\n\nMeasure how well the harness — or any model — writes React Native code.\n`vectalon bench` runs a **versioned suite of 11 RN coding tests** (login screen,\nFlatList feeds, typed navigation, secure forms, offline queues, image feeds,\nfeature flags, accessible forms, hooks refactors, dependency removal with native\ncleanup, …), scoring generated code on three axes:\n\n- **Correctness** — real `test` / `typecheck` / `lint` runs in a throwaway temp\n  project (`--live`)\n- **Best-practice adherence** — a 16-check RN rubric (KeyboardAvoidingView,\n  FlatList over `.map`, safe areas, typed nav props, `Platform.OS`, style tokens,\n  hook deps, a11y labels, and — for dependency-removal scenarios — no leftover\n  pod/gradle/manifest traces of the removed packages, the native equivalent of\n  the JS reference-scan)\n- **Guardrails** — the same project guardrail rules the implementation phase runs\n\nEvery scenario ships with a **human-authored reference solution**, so scores are\nalso reported **relative to the human baseline** (e.g. “generated code is 92% of\nhuman best-practice adherence”). Run the deterministic baseline offline, or pass\n`--model local|wasm|openai|anthropic` for a real-model leaderboard pass over\nall 11 scenarios. See `docs/BENCHMARK_PLAN.md` for the full plan.\n\n### Expo & React Native CLI — explicit separation\nrn-vectalon detects whether your project is **Expo-managed** or a **bare React\nNative CLI** project and behaves accordingly:\n\n- `Scanner` records `tooling: 'expo' | 'rn-cli'` plus the Expo SDK version into\nthe project snapshot\n- The context prompt tells agents the tooling (e.g. `Expo (SDK ~52.0.0)`) so\nthey don't recommend RN-CLI-native edits for managed projects\n- The simulator adapter runs `npx expo run:ios/android` for Expo projects and\n`npx react-native run-ios/android` for bare projects\n- Dependency removal produces Expo-aware cleanup (`npx expo prebuild\n--clean`, `npx expo-doctor`) instead of `ios/Podfile` edits when the project is\nExpo-managed, and **identifies native changes** for bare RN-CLI projects:\n  deterministic removal of `Podfile` pod lines, `Podfile.lock` entries, gradle\n  `include`/`project()`/`implementation` lines, and native `#import` statements\n  in `AppDelegate`/`MainApplication`; remaining runtime usages (e.g.\n  `AppCenter.start(...)`), manifest providers, plist keys, and `.pbxproj`\n  entries are reported file:line for review and fed to the model cleanup pass\n\n### LLM intent detection & smart routing\n\nBefore the workflow runs, an **LLM intent detector** classifies the prompt\n(`add-feature`, `fix`/`lint`, `refactor`, `remove-dependency`, or `unknown`).\nThe detected intent and the model's reasoning are surfaced right in the CLI\noutput — e.g. `Detected intent: fix/lint — LLM, confidence 0.95` — so you can see\n*why* the workflow routed the way it did. Intent drives the phase path:\n\n- **`add-feature`** — full scaffold: PRD → scope → design → architecture →\n  tasks → TDD tests → implementation → review → verification → PR\n- **`fix` / `lint`** — diagnoses the failing check (lint/typecheck/test),\n  generates a targeted repair, and re-runs the check instead of scaffolding a\n  new feature\n- **`refactor`** — restructure path without adding user-facing features. When the\n  target asks for dead native config cleanup (\"remove unused native config\",\n  \"remove dead pods\", \"clean up unused gradle dependencies\"), it scans `ios/`\n  and `android/` for **dead native configuration** — Podfile pods (and\n  autolinked `node_modules` pods whose package is gone from `package.json`),\n  `settings.gradle` includes and gradle maven dependencies that no source\n  references, plus unused `#import` / `import` statements — and reports every\n  `file:line` with the reason. The scan is **advisory**: nothing is deleted, and\n  verification surfaces the candidates without gating the run, so you review\n  and remove them yourself\n- **`remove-dependency`** — full removal: edits `package.json`, strips JS\n  imports/usages, **detects and removes iOS/Android native references** (pods,\n  gradle includes/deps, native imports, manifest/plist/pbxproj), and gates\n  verification on a native scan — with Expo-aware cleanup for managed projects\n- **`unknown`** — completes with a clarification plan instead of hard-failing\n\nWhen the model can't produce parseable intent JSON, the raw (truncated) response\nis logged to stderr and a single repair retry fires, so users see exactly what\nhappened.\n\n### Web-aware knowledge refresh & upgrade suggestions\n\nAn always-on refresh service keeps the harness current with the React Native\necosystem. `vectalon refresh` (or the background scheduler inside\n`vectalon serve`) retrieves and caches:\n\n- **Official RN docs** — React Native releases, API changes, new architecture\n- **Library changelogs** — version history for dependencies you actually use\n- **Community best practices** — curried into the knowledge graph\n\nThe refreshed knowledge is stored under `.vectalon/knowledge/refresh/` and the\nservice compares your `package.json` dependencies against it to generate\n**upgrade suggestions** (`.vectalon/knowledge/refresh/suggestions.json`). After a\n`vectalon feature` run, a compact \"upgrade suggestions available\" section prints\nat the end of the workflow output with severity-colored lines and a hint to run\n`vectalon refresh --force` for the latest data.\n\n### Ecosystem catalog (MCP servers, skills, tools, hooks)\n`vectalon ecosystem` indexes the full stack of React Native / Expo MCP servers,\nagent skills, developer tools, and git hooks. All items are **opt-in** — nothing\nis enabled without an explicit `vectalon ecosystem --enable <id>`.\n\n### Official & Essential Expo MCP Tools\n\nThe official `@expo/mcp` server connects AI assistants directly to Expo\ndocumentation, project dependency management, and EAS workflows.\n\n- **`search_documentation`** / **`read_documentation`** — search and read official Expo docs\n- **`add_library`** — install Expo/React Native packages via `expo install`\n- **`workflow_create`** / **`workflow_validate`** / **`workflow_run`** — generate and check EAS CI/CD YAML\n- **`build_list`** / **`build_info`** / **`build_logs`** / **`build_submit`** — track, inspect, and submit EAS builds to App Store / Play Store\n\n### MCP Servers\n\n| Server | What it does | Flavor lint/typecheck/tests before commits\n- **lint-staged** — run lint/format only on staged files\n- **Lefthook** — fast parallel git hooks (Go alternative to husky)\n\n### Ecosystem Export\n\n`vectalon ecosystem --export` emits the enabled MCP servers as a JSON config\nfragment ready to paste into Cursor/Claude Code, and `--flavor expo|rn-cli`\nfilters items by project flavor.\n\nWhen `vectalon serve` starts, it reads the enabled ecosystem items from\n`.vectalon/ecosystem.json` and **spawns each enabled MCP server as a child\nprocess, completing the MCP `initialize` handshake and proxying its real tools**\ninto the parent tool list — namespaced as `<id>__<tool>`, e.g.\n`metro-mcp__get_console_logs` — so connected agents call the Metro MCP, Expo\nMCP, etc. directly through rn-vectalon with zero manual MCP config. Servers that\nfail to start (package not installed, handshake timeout) are skipped with a\nwarning plus the install command, and every spawned server is terminated on\nshutdown. (`vectalon ecosystem --export` still emits the ready-to-paste config\nfragment for agents that manage their own MCP server list.)\n\n`vectalon init` **auto-enables ecosystem items from your installed dependencies**\n— scanning `package.json` and matching package names against the catalog\n(zustand, react-native-gesture-handler, react-native-reanimated, react-native-mmkv,\n@shopify/flash-list, husky, lint-staged, …), surfacing each detection in the init\nlog with `(already enabled)` markers when the flavor recommendations already\ncovered it.\n\n**Enabled skills also feed the model.** When a skill is installed\n(`.vectalon/skills/<id>/SKILL.md` or `.agents/skills/<id>/SKILL.md`) and enabled,\nits best-practice content is inlined into the system prompt of every generation\n— intent detection, implementation, MCP tools, and fixes — for both the **local**\nQwen model and the **remote** OpenAI/Anthropic providers, so every model follows\nthe same guidance external agents load from the skills (capped at 4k chars per\nskill, 8 skills, 16k total). `vectalon feature` prints the **inlined skills\naudit** — how many skills were inlined plus the first few lines of each — so you\ncan see exactly what guidance the model received.\n\n### Ecosystem Doctor\n\n`vectalon doctor` verifies that every enabled ecosystem item is actually\ninstalled and reachable, so agents never discover tooling that isn't there:\n\n- **MCP servers** — the npx package resolves locally, or the binary responds\n  to a bounded version/help probe\n- **Tools & hooks** — the npm package is resolvable from the project's\n  `node_modules`, or the global binary (fastlane/maestro/EAS CLI) responds on\n  `PATH`\n- **Skills** — the skill install directory exists under `.vectalon/skills/` or\n  `.agents/skills/`\n\nIt also checks the **native toolchain** a React Native project needs to build\nand run:\n\n- **Node.js** — version 20+ (18-19 warns, older is flagged) with an `nvm`\n  upgrade hint\n- **JDK** — 17+ required for RN Android builds\n- **Android SDK** — resolved from `ANDROID_HOME`/`ANDROID_SDK_ROOT`, or via\n  `adb` on `PATH` (warns when the project has no `android/` dir)\n- **Android emulator** — lists configured AVDs when the `emulator` binary\n  responds\n- **Xcode & CocoaPods** — verified on macOS only (skipped elsewhere)\n- **Metro port 8081** — warns (never fails) when no dev server is listening;\n  honors a custom port via options\n\nIt also checks the **nightly leaderboard readiness** so a failed scheduled\nleaderboard run is diagnosed before the cron fires:\n\n- **API-key secrets** — `OPENAI_API_KEY` / `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY` set (warns\n  when unset: that matrix entry would be skipped)\n- **Local model** — the default Qwen preset is downloaded (warns with a\n  `vectalon pull` hint)\n- **Results directory** — `bench/results/` is present and writable (missing\n  when not, with a `mkdir -p bench/results` hint — auto-fixed by `--fix`)\n\nFinally, it checks **model access** — whether the configured model can actually\nreach the toolchain:\n\n- **Configured model** — the local Qwen preset is downloaded (missing, with a\n  `vectalon pull` hint), or the remote provider's API key env var is set\n  (warns when missing)\n- **Ecosystem items enabled** — at least one item in `.vectalon/ecosystem.json`\n  (warns when none: the model has no MCP servers or skills to reach)\n- **Skills installed** — every enabled skill's install dir exists (warns when\n  uninstalled skills won't reach the model via prompt inlining)\n- **MCP servers reachable** — every enabled MCP server passes the ecosystem\n  check (warns when the agent loop would skip some)\n\nEach check prints a status (`OK`/`MISSING`/`WARN`) with an actionable fix hint\n(e.g. the `npm install` / `npx skills add` / `brew install` command to run).\nThe command runs the toolchain checks even without an ecosystem config, exits\nnon-zero when anything is missing — useful in CI — and `--json` emits the full\nreport (ecosystem + toolchain + leaderboard) as machine-readable output.\n\n### Framework-Native\nZero lock-in. rn-vectalon is a standard npm package that integrates with your existing RN CLI workflow. No new build system, no proprietary DSL — just a `serve` command and your agent connects.\n\n---\n\n## How It Works\n\n```\n┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐\n│                 AI Agent (any)                        │\n│  Claude Code / OpenCode / Codex CLI / Cursor         │\n│          │                                           │\n│          ▼ MCP / stdio / SSE / HTTP                  │\n│  ┌──────────────────────────────────────────────┐    │\n│  │              rn-vectalon Server                  │    │\n│  │  ┌──────────┐  ┌──────────┐  ┌────────────┐  │    │\n│  │  │  Context  │  │  Model   │  │   Agent    │  │    │\n│  │  │  Engine   │  │  Router  │  │  Protocol  │  │    │\n│  │  └─────┬─────┘  └────┬─────┘  └────────────┘  │    │\n│  │        │              │                        │    │\n│  │  ┌─────▼──────────────▼─────────────────────┐  │    │\n│  │  │          Evolution Engine               │  │    │\n│  │  │  (Project Memory + Pattern Learner)     │  │    │\n│  │  └─────────────────────────────────────────┘  │    │\n│  │  ┌─────────────────────────────────────────┐  │    │\n│  │  │       SDLC Modules (57 MCP tools)       │  │    │\n│  │  │  BA · QA · Architecture · Security ·   │  │    │\n│  │  │  UX · DevOps · Ops · Analytics         │  │    │\n│  │  └─────────────────────────────────────────┘  │    │\n│  │  ┌─────────────────────────────────────────┐  │    │\n│  │  │      Company Brain (knowledge base)    │  │    │\n│  │  │  ArtifactStore · RoleEngine · TeamStore│  │    │\n│  │  │  KnowledgeIndex · embeddings           │  │    │\n│  │  └─────────────────────────────────────────┘  │    │\n│  └──────────────────────────────────────────────┘    │\n│                                                        │\n│  ┌──────────────────────────────────────────────┐    │\n│  │          Your React Native App                 │    │\n│  │  src/  components/  screens/  package.json    │    │\n│  └──────────────────────────────────────────────┘    │\n└──────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘\n```\n\n### Flow\n\n1. **`vectalon init`** — Scans your project, catalogues components, detects patterns, stores context in `.vectalon/`\n2. **`vectalon serve`** — Starts a local server exposing 57 MCP tools (50 by default, plus the knowledge-base and team-brain tools when those services are present, and the **real proxied tools of every enabled ecosystem MCP server**, namespaced as `<id>__<tool>`)\n3. **`vectalon import`** — Feeds the Company Brain: PRDs, Jira exports, postmortems, any SDLC artifact\n4. **Agent connects** — Your AI agent (Claude Code, OpenCode, etc.) connects to the MCP server and gets full project awareness\n5. **Agent acts** — The agent uses the harness tools to generate code, fix bugs, write tests, produce PRDs/ADRs/test plans — all in your project's style\n6. **Harness learns** — Every interaction improves the pattern store and the knowledge base. The next session is even smarter.\n\n---\n\n## Quick Start\n\n### Prerequisites\n\n- Node.js >= 20.12.0\n- A React Native project — Expo-managed or bare RN CLI (>= 0.72)\n\n### Installation\n\n```bash\nnpm install --save-dev @vectalon-dev/rn-vectalon\n# or\nyarn add -D @vectalon-dev/rn-vectalon\n```\n\n> `rn-vectalon` is a development-time tool (CLI, project scanner, and MCP server). Nothing it exports is imported by your app bundle, so it belongs in `devDependencies`.\n\nAfter installing locally, you can use the shorter alias:\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon\n```\n\nRunning `npx vectalon` with no arguments opens an interactive menu so you can pick init, feature, refresh, bundle, daemon, telemetry, ci, ecosystem, doctor, bench, leaderboard, sync, policy, serve, import, pull, models, or help without memorizing flags.\n\nFor the full command reference — every command with its options, examples, and\nexit codes — see [docs/CLI_REFERENCE.md](docs/CLI_REFERENCE.md).\n\n### Initialize\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon init\n```\n\nThis scans your project and creates a `.vectalon/` directory with:\n- `snapshot.json` — Full project context (components, structure, config)\n- `context.md` — Human-readable project summary for agent prompts\n- `memory.json` — Learned patterns and decision history\n- `rn-vectalon.json` — Manifest with the detected tooling and model choice\n- `ecosystem.json` — Enabled MCP servers, skills, and hooks\n\nThe `.vectalon/` workspace is **per-machine runtime state** (memory, knowledge\ncaches, generated code, workflow states) — `init` automatically adds it to your\nproject's `.gitignore` (creating the file when missing), so it never pollutes\nversion control. Anything the team should see — PRDs, design docs, verification\nreports — is written under **`docs/vectalon/`** instead, so it's committed and\nvisible to everyone.\n\n`init` also completes the **model side** of the setup — the provider you choose\nis written to the manifest and used by `vectalon feature`/`serve` automatically:\n\n- `vectalon init --model local` (default) — the local Qwen2.5-Coder provider;\n  interactively, `init` offers to download the model (~1.1 GB) right away\n- `vectalon init --model wasm` — zero-config ONNX/WASM provider; weights\n  download on first use (no API key, no native build)\n- `vectalon init --model openai` — remote OpenAI provider; `init` records the\n  model name and that it reads `OPENAI_API_KEY` from the environment\n- `vectalon init --model anthropic` — remote Anthropic provider via\n  `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY`\n- Without a flag on a TTY, `init` prompts you to pick a provider; API keys are\n  **never written to disk** — only the env var name is recorded\n\nEven without choosing WASM at init, a `local` provider run **auto-tiers** to the\nWASM model whenever no GGUF model is downloaded and the tier is enabled — so a\nfresh `npm install` + `vectalon feature` generates real code with zero setup.\n\n`init` detects whether your project is **Expo-managed** or a **bare React Native\nCLI** project and sets up the tooling accordingly:\n\n- **Expo projects** (`expo` dependency) auto-enable the Expo MCP server, the\n  official Expo agent skills, and `expo-doctor` alongside the shared RN MCPs\n  and hooks\n- **Bare RN-CLI projects** auto-enable the React Native Upgrader MCP and\n  `rn-diff-purge` alongside the shared items\n- The detected `tooling` and Expo SDK version are stored in the manifest so\n  every later phase (context prompt, simulator runs, dependency removal) uses\n  the right commands\n- Run `vectalon ecosystem --export` afterwards to emit the enabled MCP servers\n  as a config fragment for your agent (Cursor/Claude Code)\n\nAll ecosystem items are **opt-in** — `init` only enables the recommended set;\nadd or remove anything with `vectalon ecosystem --enable <id>` / `--disable <id>`.\n\n### Serve\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon serve\n```\n\nStarts the MCP server. Your agent connects and gets all the tools.\n\n\n### Download a local model (optional)\n\n`vectalon` works offline by default using a deterministic stub, but you can\ndownload a real, free-for-commercial-use local model to generate code in the\nimplementation phase.\n\n```bash\nvectalon pull              # default: Qwen2.5-Coder-1.5B-Instruct-GGUF\nvectalon models            # list available and downloaded models (incl. the WASM tier)\n```\n\nThe default model is **Qwen2.5-Coder-1.5B-Instruct-GGUF** (`Q4_K_M`, ~1.1 GB), licensed under **Apache 2.0**, which is free for commercial use. If no model is\ndownloaded, the feature workflow falls back to deterministic scaffolds.\n\n**Local inference is fully optional.** `node-llama-cpp` is an\n`optionalDependency` — on systems where its native binary can't build or load\n(constrained CI, old glibc, missing toolchain), `npm install` still succeeds\nand skips it with a warning. `LocalProvider` probes the module at\ninitialization: if it's missing or fails to load, the harness logs a clear\nwarning and degrades to the deterministic stub (same offline behavior as no\nmodel), so nothing breaks. Run `npm install node-llama-cpp` and re-init to\nrestore real local inference, or just use a remote provider.\n\n### Zero-config WASM inference\n\nSince the default `local` tier auto-tiers to the WASM model when no GGUF model\nis downloaded, `npm install` alone is enough to get **real model output** — no\nAPI key, no `vectalon pull`, no native build. The run logs which model is\nactive (e.g. `Model: local → wasm (onnx-community/Qwen2.5-Coder-0.5B-Instruct)`)\nand notes that weights download on first use.\n\n- **Runtime** — a quantized ONNX code model runs through\n  `@huggingface/transformers` (ONNX Runtime: the WASM backend in browsers,\n  prebuilt per-platform binaries in Node — either way **no compilation** and\n  works on any CPU). WASM inference is slower than native GGUF — that tradeoff\n  is the price of \"works everywhere\".\n- **First use** — weights (~0.5 GB for the default `q8` 0.5B model; `q4` is\n  ~half that) download from Hugging Face Hub and are cached under\n  `~/.config/rn-vectalon/models/wasm/` (relocatable via `RN_VECTALON_CONFIG_DIR`).\n  `vectalon models` shows the cache status.\n- **Fallback order** — remote API key → GGUF model → **WASM model** →\n  deterministic stub. The stub is now the graceful last resort (only when the\n  download fails, e.g. no network), not the primary path.\n- **Opt-out / tuning** — `RN_VECTALON_NO_WASM=1` disables the tier entirely;\n  `RN_VECTALON_WASM_MODEL=<hf-repo>` and `RN_VECTALON_WASM_DTYPE=q4` swap the\n  model (presets: `onnx-community/Qwen2.5-Coder-0.5B-Instruct` default,\n  `onnx-community/Qwen2.5-Coder-1.5B-Instruct` for better quality).\n\n### Live Metro/Hermes companion daemon\n\nThe companion daemon runs in the background and makes the harness **proactive**\n— it watches the live dev loop and records what it learns, instead of waiting\nfor CLI commands:\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon daemon                 # start the background daemon\nnpx vectalon daemon --status        # is it running? (pid, port, health)\nnpx vectalon daemon --stop          # stop it\nnpx vectalon daemon --once          # single probe pass, then exit (CI-friendly)\nnpx vectalon daemon --wire-metro    # also patch metro.config.js to use the reporter\n```\n\n- **Metro reporter hook** — the daemon writes a generated reporter to\n  `.vectalon/metro/vectalon-reporter.js` and POSTs `bundle_build_done` /\n  `bundle_build_failed` events to its own HTTP endpoint (wired into\n  `metro.config.js` automatically with `--wire-metro`, or by hand with\n  `reporter: require('./.vectalon/metro/vectalon-reporter.js')`).\n- **Bundle-size deltas** — every successful build is parsed with the same\n  budget analyzer as `vectalon bundle`, snapshotted into the knowledge base\n  (the team brain sees it like any other artifact), and diffed against the\n  previous build in the session. When a build adds a library or grows a module,\n  the daemon logs a **proactive tip** (\"your last Metro build added lodash —\n  +80 KB; use lodash.debounce instead\") and persists it as a bounded set of\n  `engineering` artifacts in the store.\n- **Build failures never lost** — `bundle_build_failed` events are persisted as\n  deduped artifacts (identical failures collapse by content checksum), so a\n  failure that scrolls past in the terminal is still in the knowledge base.\n- **Hermes JS-thread health** — every 30s the daemon connects to the Hermes\n  CDP inspector over the Metro WebSocket and measures JS-thread latency;\n  spikes are recorded as probe artifacts in the knowledge base. Disable with\n  `--no-device-probe`.\n- **HTTP endpoint** — `GET /health` (status + event count + last probe) and\n  `POST /metro/event` (the reporter's ingest path) on the daemon's port.\n  The state file lives at `.vectalon/daemon.json`; `--stop`/`--status` read it\n  to find the live pid and refuse double-runs.\n\n### Run a feature workflow\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen and integrate the auth API\"\nnpx vectalon feature --ticket MOB-123 --push   # ticket-to-PR: read the ticket, run the\n                                               # workflow, open a real PR with a review comment\n```\n\nRuns the full SDLC workflow: PRD, design, architecture, implementation,\nverification, PR, docs, and board closure.\n\n**Ticket-to-PR autonomy.** With `--ticket <key>`, the workflow reads the ticket\nthrough the PM adapter (Jira via REST, GitHub issues via the `gh` CLI or REST,\nMonday, or a deterministic console stub when no provider is configured) and\nruns the entire pipeline headlessly from the ticket's title + description: the\n**self-healing code-review loop** feeds findings back to the model and re-runs\nlint/typecheck until clean, **verification** gates on tests/lint/typecheck, the\nPR phase commits + pushes, opens a real PR, and posts the code-review report as\na **review comment** on it. The positional prompt becomes optional when\n`--ticket` is set.\n\nBy default the workflow uses **real local adapters** — it automatically runs\n`test`, `lint`, `prettier`, and `typecheck` scripts found in your `package.json`.\nDevice/simulator builds (`run-ios`, `run-android`) are **opt-in** via `--device`.\nUse `--dry-run` to simulate without side effects, and `--push` to allow the\nworkflow to push the branch and open a PR:\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon feature \"remove unused imports\" --dry-run   # safe preview\nnpx vectalon feature \"remove unused imports\" --push      # commit, push, and open PR\nnpx vectalon feature \"remove unused imports\" --verbose   # show full phase output\nnpx vectalon feature \"add login screen\" --device         # include iOS/Android build checks\n```\n\n### Run the benchmark\n\nScore the harness on the RN coding tests — no project setup required:\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon bench                            # deterministic baseline (offline)\nnpx vectalon bench --suite data-flow          # only the data-flow scenarios\nnpx vectalon bench --live                     # run real tests/typecheck/lint\nnpx vectalon bench --model local              # real-model leaderboard (all 11 scenarios)\nnpx vectalon bench --model wasm               # zero-config WASM model leaderboard\nnpx vectalon bench --model openai --json      # JSON summary for tooling\nnpx vectalon bench -o report.md               # write the report to a file\nnpx vectalon bench --scenarios ./my-evals     # run your own custom eval pack\nnpx vectalon bench --baseline bench/baseline.json  # CI regression gate\nnpx vectalon leaderboard bench/results              # merge runs into BENCHMARK_RESULTS.md\nnpx vectalon leaderboard bench/results --pr-comment  # compact comment for PRs (upsert marker)\n```\n\n- `--model <provider>` — `local` / `wasm` / `openai` / `anthropic`; runs the\n  real-model leaderboard pass over all 11 scenarios\n- `--suite <id>` — only scenarios in one suite\n  (`core-ui`, `data-flow`, `forms-security`, `navigation`, `a11y`, `perf`, `refactor`)\n- `--live` — run real tests/typecheck/lint for the correctness axis (slow)\n- `--install` — `npm install` each temp project before the live checks (needed\n  when the fixture project has a `package.json` but no `node_modules`)\n- `--json` — machine-readable summary instead of markdown\n- `-o, --output <path>` — write the report to a file\n- `--scenarios <dir>` — override the scenarios directory (custom eval packs)\n- `--references <dir>` — override the human reference-solutions directory\n- `--baseline <file>` — compare the deterministic run against a stored baseline\n  JSON and **exit 1 on any axis regression** (the CI gate; pass\n  `bench/baseline.json` to run it — without the flag the gate is off);\n  `--tolerance <fraction>` tunes the allowed drop (default `0.01`)\n\nOn every PR, `.github/workflows/pr-leaderboard.yml` posts a **leaderboard\ncomment** — the nightly per-model comparison (overall composite, guardrails,\nand relative-to-human per model) rendered from the committed `bench/results/*.json`\nwith `vectalon leaderboard --pr-comment`, upserted under a stable marker so it\nupdates as the branch evolves rather than spamming duplicates.\n\n**Custom eval packs** — teams can author their own RN evals without a PR.\nPoint `--scenarios` at any directory of versioned scenario JSON files (nested\nsubdirectories are fine) and `--references` at your own human reference\nsolutions; files that fail validation (wrong `specVersion`, missing fields,\nduplicate ids) are reported and skipped. See the\n[benchmark plan](docs/BENCHMARK_PLAN.md) for the scenario spec shape.\n\n---\n\n## Agent Integration\n\n### Claude Code (Anthropic)\n\nRun Claude Code and connect to rn-vectalon via MCP:\n\n```bash\n# Terminal 1: start harness\nnpx vectalon serve\n\n# Terminal 2: use with Claude Code\nclaude\n```\n\nClaude Code automatically discovers MCP servers running locally. You can also add rn-vectalon as a direct MCP tool in your `~/.claude/settings.json`:\n\n```json\n{\n  \"mcpServers\": {\n    \"rn-vectalon\": {\n      \"command\": \"npx\",\n      \"args\": [\"vectalon\", \"serve\", \"--protocol\", \"stdio\"]\n    }\n  }\n}\n```\n\n### OpenCode\n\nAdd to your `opencode.json`:\n\n```json\n{\n  \"mcpServers\": {\n    \"rn-vectalon\": {\n      \"command\": \"npx\",\n      \"args\": [\"vectalon\", \"serve\", \"--protocol\", \"stdio\"]\n    }\n  }\n}\n```\n\nThen ask: *\"Generate a new ProfileCard component following the project's conventions\"* or *\"What's the architecture of this project?\"*\n\n### Codex CLI (OpenAI)\n\n```bash\n# Start rn-vectalon with HTTP\nnpx vectalon serve --protocol http --port 8931\n\n# In another terminal, use Codex CLI with the MCP endpoint\n```\n\nThe HTTP transport is a real JSON API, not just a discovery listing: `GET\n/tools` advertises the tools and `POST /call` (or `/invoke`) invokes any of\nthem with a `{ id?, name, arguments }` body — so Codex CLI, web dashboards,\nand remote IDEs can call tools directly (with CORS enabled for browsers).\n\n### Cursor / Windsurf / Any MCP Agent\n\n```bash\n# rn-vectalon automatically detected if running on standard ports\n# Or configure manually in your editor's MCP settings\n```\n\n---\n\n## Feature Development Workflow\n\n`rn-vectalon` can run an end-to-end SDLC workflow from a single prompt:\n\n```bash\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen and integrate the auth API\"\n```\n\nThis executes 13 phases in sequence, gating each one on the previous:\n\n1. **PRD** — product requirements, goals, acceptance criteria\n2. **Scope & impact analysis** — affected areas, new dependencies, risks\n3. **Design & UX** — wireframes and motion-design recommendations\n4. **Architecture** — ADR and API integration design\n5. **Task creation** — issues/tasks in the configured PM tool (Jira, Monday, …)\n6. **Test writing (TDD)** — tests are written BEFORE implementation, defining the contract the code must satisfy\n7. **Implementation** — project-convention-aware code for service, hook, and screen, generated to make the written tests pass\n8. **Code review** — LLM + rule-based review of the generated code and tests, with a **self-healing loop**: error findings are fed back to the model, the corrected files are written (with diffs streamed to the console), and the phase re-reviews up to N attempts before giving up and restoring the originals. It also runs the project's `lint`/`typecheck` and heals those errors too\n9. **Verification** — runs the tests (validating the TDD gate), plus `lint`, `prettier:check`, and `typecheck` scripts from `package.json`. iOS/Android device builds are only included when you pass `--device`.\n10. **Readiness report** — go/no-go against acceptance criteria\n11. **Pull request** — branch, commit, push, and open PR\n12. **Documentation** — draft README and CHANGELOG updates\n13. **Close feature board** — mark tasks as complete\n\nThe workflow is deterministic-first, project-aware, and observable. Each phase\nproduces a markdown document under **`docs/vectalon/feature-development/<id>/`**\n(so the team sees them in version control), and the full machine-readable state\nis persisted to `.vectalon/workflows/feature-development/<id>.json` (gitignored\nruntime state) so you can resume, audit, or re-run iterations.\n\n### Iterations\n\nAfter making changes, re-run the same workflow with its saved state to update\nphase outputs and readiness:\n\n```bash\n# Re-run the entire workflow using a saved state ID\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen and integrate the auth API\" --resume <state-id>\n\n# Resume from a specific phase (e.g. after editing implementation)\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen and integrate the auth API\" --resume <state-id> --from implementation\n```\n\n#### Self-healing code review & ticket-to-PR autonomy\n\nDuring the code-review phase, findings are fed back to the model until the code\nis clean or the attempt cap is reached — the same loop that powers **headless\nticket-to-PR**: `vectalon feature --ticket <key> --push` reads a Jira/GitHub/\nMonday ticket through the PM adapter, runs the full PRD → implementation →\nself-healing review → verification pipeline, and opens a real PR (with the\nreview report posted as a comment). Add CI to the repo once with `vectalon ci`\n(EAS Workflows for Expo, GitHub Actions for bare RN CLI — idempotent, and\nauto-generated by every `--push` run), so the branch is verified in CI too:\n\n```bash\n# Ask before applying each model fix (accept / reject / retry)\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen\" --heal-interactive\n\n# Override the heal loop per run\nnpx vectalon feature \"create a login screen\" --heal-attempts 5 --heal-severity warning\n```\n\n- `--heal-interactive` — stream a live diff and prompt for each fix instead of\n  applying it automatically\n- `--heal-attempts <n>` — max review→fix→re-review cycles (default 3)\n- `--heal-severity <error|warning|info>` — lowest severity that triggers healing\n  (default `error`; `warning` also heals warnings, `info` heals everything)\n\nFailed heals are recorded to `.vectalon/knowledge/failed-heals.json` and injected\nas context into the next run's review prompts, so the model avoids repeating the\nsame mistakes. See [Policy configuration](#policy-configuration) to tune the heal\nloop per project.\n\n### Use from an agent\n\n```json\n{\n  \"name\": \"execute_workflow\",\n  \"arguments\": {\n    \"workflowId\": \"feature-development\",\n    \"prompt\": \"create a login screen and integrate the auth API\"\n  }\n}\n```\n\n### Configuring external tools\n\nThe workflow uses adapter interfaces for project management, Git, test runners,\nand simulators. By default **real local adapters** are used: commands such as\n`git`, `yarn test`, `yarn lint`, `yarn typecheck`, and `npx react-native run-ios`\nare executed in your project directory. Use `dryRun: true` to fall back to the\nconsole adapters (they print what they would do without running anything):\n\n```typescript\nimport { createAdapters } from '@vectalon-dev/rn-vectalon'\n\nconst adapters = createAdapters({\n  dryRun: true, // simulate all adapters\n  projectManagement: { provider: 'jira', baseUrl: '...', projectKey: '...', email: '...', token: '...' }, // or provider: 'github', owner: '...', repo: '...' — readTicket fetches issues via `gh`/REST\n  // providers: console (default, deterministic stub), jira, monday, github\n  git: { provider: 'local', push: true }, // or provider: 'github', owner: '...', repo: '...', token: '...'\n  testRunner: { provider: 'local' },\n  simulator: { provider: 'local' },\n})\n```\n\nSee `src/adapters/` for the interfaces and implementations.\n\n---\n\n## Available Tools\n\nOnce the server is running, agents can call **57 built-in tools** — 50 always\navailable, 5 more when a knowledge base is present (`list_artifacts`,\n`get_artifact`, `get_knowledge_context`, `link_artifacts`, `ingest_telemetry`),\nand 2 more when a team brain is configured (`get_team_context`,\n`search_knowledge`) — plus any **SQLite** (`.vectalon/knowledge/artifacts.db`) when the\noptional `better-sqlite3` native module is available, with the legacy\n`.vectalon/knowledge/artifacts.json` as a transparent fallback on systems where\nit can't load (`RN_VECTALON_NO_SQLITE=1` forces the fallback). It holds SDLC\nartifacts — PRDs, user stories, ADRs, test plans, incident reports — so agents\nget role-scoped context instead of just a file tree.\n\nThe SQLite engine upgrades the brain from a flat file to a real database:\n\n- **Concurrent access** — WAL journal mode + busy timeout, so two developers\n  (or `vectalon serve` + the daemon) reading and writing one project's brain\n  no longer race on a shared JSON file\n- **FTS5 full-text search** — `store.fullTextSearch('camera AND login')` ranks\n  artifacts with SQLite's bm25 over title + content\n- **Semantic vectors** — every artifact's embedding is stored with it;\n  `store.vectorSearch(query)` runs KNN through the optional **sqlite-vec**\n  extension (`vec_distance_cosine`) when it loads, or identical JS cosine\n  similarity otherwise\n- **Complex queries** — `store.query(sql, params)` runs arbitrary SQL over the\n  `artifacts` table (links in `artifact_links`, history in\n  `artifact_history`) and hydrates rows back into `Artifact` objects, e.g.\n  `SELECT a.* FROM artifacts a JOIN artifa","readmeFilename":"README.md"}
