In-memory cache (if enabled)\n2. User-defined layers (in the order they are defined)\n3. The final get method (ground truth)\n\nWhen `get()` is called, ASC:\n1. Checks each layer in order until data is found\n2. Returns the first found data\n3. Automatically populates all higher layers with the found data\n4. Uses the `set()` method of each layer (if provided) to store the data\n\n## Memory Cache Considerations\n\nThe built-in memory cache uses your process's memory.
