Config-only caveats: the target is an explicit profile name, and existing launchers need one `clp apply` to gain the `handoff` verb.\n\n### Call another profile as a subagent\n\n`handoff` moves you to another profile. `delegate` keeps you where you are, runs another profile's agent on one scoped task, and returns its output — a function call rather than a one-way move:\n\n```bash\nclp delegate --to kimi --model opus \"rebuild the hero section in src/components/Hero.tsx\"\nclp delegate --to oauth --json \"summarize the diff on this branch\" # structured output\ncat brief.md | clp delegate --to codex # long briefs via stdin\n```\n\n**This is the only way to reach a different provider from inside a session.** `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` / `ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN` are process-wide, and a native Claude Code subagent's `model` is validated against the *current* provider — so a Claude session cannot dispatch a native subagent onto Kimi, GLM, or Codex. `delegate` spawns a real headless agent under the target's `CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR` (or `CODEX_HOME`), in your current directory, with full tool access. Its summary comes back to you and its file edits land in your tree.\n\nProvider env from the calling session is stripped before the target's is applied. Without that, delegating from a gateway profile (z.ai, kimi, mimo) to a Claude profile would leave the gateway's base URL in place — the delegate would authenticate as your Claude account but send traffic to the gateway, working \"fine\" while silently on the wrong model.\n\nThe delegate starts with a **cold context**: it sees your files and its own profile's `CLAUDE.md`/skills, but not your conversation. Pass file paths and specifics in the prompt, exactly as you would to a native subagent.\n\n#### Keeping delegates in their lane\n\n`--scope` declares a path lane and reports anything the delegate touched outside it, exiting `3` so a chained `&& git merge` stops rather than folding in an unseen change. Nothing is reverted — the work stands and you decide:\n\n```bash\nclp delegate --to kimi --scope 'src/web/**' \"build the settings panel\"\n\n delegate \"kimi\" touched 2 file(s)\n ✗ src/server/routes.ts\n src/web/Settings.tsx\n 1 file(s) outside scope [src/web/**] — review before merging\n```\n\nA lane written as a bare directory (`--scope src/web`) means everything under it. The check counts files the delegate created, edited, deleted, reverted, **or committed** — a delegate told to commit its work leaves a clean tree, which a status-only check would wave straight through.\n\n> **Accurate for one delegate at a time.** It works by diffing the working tree, and a snapshot diff cannot tell writers apart — run two delegates concurrently in one tree and each will report the other's files as violations. Parallel delegation needs a worktree per delegate (roadmap), not a smarter diff.\n\n### Using the launchers on Windows (PowerShell)\n\nOn Windows the launchers are **PowerShell functions**, written to the PowerShell 7 profile:\n\n```\n%USERPROFILE%\\Documents\\PowerShell\\Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1\n```\n\nAfter `clp apply`, reload with `. $PROFILE` (or open a new tab), then run `cl-work` directly. Three things to get right:\n\n- **Use PowerShell 7 (`pwsh`), not Windows PowerShell 5.1.** clp writes to the `Documents\\PowerShell\\` profile (PS7). The old built-in \"Windows PowerShell\" (5.1, `powershell.exe`) reads a *different* file (`Documents\\WindowsPowerShell\\`) and won't see the functions. Install PS7 with `winget install --id Microsoft.PowerShell` and make it your default: Windows Terminal → Settings → Startup → Default profile → **PowerShell**. Check with `$PSVersionTable.PSVersion` (want 7.x). *(CMD and Git Bash can't use these — they're PowerShell functions.)*\n- **Allow the profile to run.** If reloading errors with \"running scripts is disabled,\" run once: `Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope CurrentUser RemoteSigned`.\n- **Watch for OneDrive-redirected Documents.** If your Documents folder syncs to OneDrive, PowerShell's real `$PROFILE` may live under OneDrive. Compare `$PROFILE` in your shell against the path above — if they differ, that's why the launcher isn't found.\n\n### Point a profile at a custom LLM provider\n\nRun a profile against z.ai (GLM), mimo, OpenRouter, or any Anthropic-compatible\nendpoint — Claude Code reads the provider config from that profile's `settings.json`,\nand `clp` manages it for you. The easiest path is the **web dashboard**: open a profile\n→ **Edit → Provider**, pick a preset (or *Custom*), fill in the base URL, choose a\nkeychain secret for the auth token, and optionally map the opus/sonnet/haiku model\nnames. Plugins are then **installed to match** via `claude plugin` (needs `claude` on PATH; if that step can't run, `clp plugins apply --all` finishes the job).\n\nTwo things intentionally don't travel:\n\n- **Authentication sessions** — conversation history can use opt-in shared pool, but account credentials never travel; sign in once per account on new machine.\n- The **`default` profile has no `cl-*` launcher** — it's what plain `claude` already launches; only the named profiles get launcher functions.\n\n## Web dashboard\n\n```bash\nclp ui # opens http://127.0.0.1:/?t= in your browser\n```\n\nA local panel to manage everything the CLI does — and the easiest way to set profiles up:\n\n- **Profiles** — create, edit, and delete profiles from a form: launcher function, environment variables, links, MCP toggles, a **guided Provider section** (preset picker for z.ai / mimo / OpenRouter / Anthropic-default / Custom, labeled base-URL / token / model fields, copy-from-another-profile, and an *Advanced* raw editor for any other `settings.json` env var), and a **Skip permissions** toggle that adds `--dangerously-skip-permissions` to that profile's launcher (⚠ bypasses every confirmation — launcher profiles only). Deleting a profile is manifest-only — the `~/.claude-*` directory stays on disk.\n- **Shell RC** — preview the managed block in your `.zshrc`/`.bashrc` vs. what the manifest renders, with a one-click update.\n- **Sessions** (Claude + Codex shared-history viewer with an in-dashboard transcript reader), **MCP servers** and **Plugins** (interactive matrices), **Secrets** (add / reveal / delete / migrate, plus attach a secret to a profile as an env var), **Sync** (pair devices and pull, with a dry-run preview before applying), and **Doctor**.\n- **Dark mode** — follows your OS theme, with a persisted toggle in the sidebar. Destructive actions (sync-to-all, skip-permissions, secret detach/delete) ask for confirmation.\n\nIt's **localhost-only** and guarded by a per-launch session token plus an Origin check, so nothing off your machine (and no website in your browser) can reach the API. Pass `--no-open` to just print the URL, or `--port ` to pin the port.\n\n## How it works\n\nThree layers of state:\n\n1. **Live state** — actual `.claude*` / `.codex*` dirs and shell rc files. Tool edits only managed MCP tables (`mcpServers` JSON or `mcp_servers` TOML), Claude `settings.json` env and `statusLine`, marked rc block, and declared links.\n2. **Manifest** — `~/.ccprofiles/manifest.yaml`, a platform-neutral declaration (paths templated as `{home}`, secrets referenced as `secret://name`).
