Nodes using `skipNodeAppend` remain caller-owned and\nare not removed from the DOM.\n\nSee [codepen abWdVOG](https://codepen.io/mwri/pen/abWdVOG) for a working\nexample.\n\n### Skip Node Append\n\nThe `skipNodeAppend` node data option controls whether `cytoscape-dom-node`\nappends the provided DOM node to the configured DOM container. By default,\n`cytoscape-dom-node` appends the node to the container.\n\nIn certain scenarios, such as when using EmberJS or another front-end framework,\nyou might have already rendered the nodes to the DOM. It will be used for\nnodes instead of the element `cytoscape-dom-node` would otherwise create. It is\nthe caller's responsibility to style the given element appropriately:\n\n```ts\ncy.domNode({ domContainer: someElement });\n```\n\nThe legacy `dom_container` name remains supported.\n\n`interactiveSelector` sets which child elements should receive native DOM\ninteraction instead of becoming Cytoscape gestures. Matching controls get\n`pointer-events: auto`, and `pointerdown`, `mousedown`, and `touchstart` are\nstopped during capture so inputs and buttons do not start graph drags. It\ndefaults to common controls:\n\n```ts\ncy.domNode({\n  interactiveSelector:\n    \"input, button, select, textarea, a[href], [contenteditable]:not([contenteditable='false']), [data-cy-dom-node-interactive]\",\n});\n```\n\nFor draggable DOM-backed nodes, make the node shell pass pointer events through\nto Cytoscape and let the renderer re-enable matching controls:\n\n```css\n.dom-node {\n  pointer-events: none;\n}\n```\n\nSet `interactiveSelector` to `false` to disable this control isolation.\n\n## Interaction State\n\nDOM nodes mirror Cytoscape selection state with the `selected` class.
