It forwards all arguments to\n`eslint` and starts the background server if necessary:\n\n```\neslint_d [options] file.js [file.js] [dir]\n```\n\nAll arguments are passed to eslint, except for the following commands:\n\n```\n start Start the daemon\n stop Stop the daemon\n restart Restart the daemon\n status Show daemon status, process id and resolved eslint version\n --help, -h Show this help\n --version, -v Show version number of eslint_d and bundled eslint\n --fix-to-stdout Print fixed file to stdout (requires --stdin)\n```\n\n## Environment variables\n\n- `ESLINT_D_PPID` Parent process id to monitor. If the parent process dies, the\n daemon exits as well. \"0\" disables monitoring (default), and \"auto\" monitors\n the parent process that started eslint_d.\n- `ESLINT_D_IDLE` Number of minutes of inactivity before the daemon exits.\n Defaults to \"0\" if `ESLINT_D_PPID` is set, otherwise \"15\".\n- `ESLINT_D_MISS` How to behave if local eslint is missing. \"fallback\" uses the\n bundled eslint (default). \"fail\" logs an error and exits with code 1.\n \"ignore\" silently exits with code 0.\n- `ESLINT_D_ROOT` Provide specific directory to search for `node_modules/eslint`.\n Useful in monorepos where `node_modules` might be in a location other than\n the project root.\n\n## Automatic fixing\n\n`eslint_d` has an additional option that `eslint` does not have,\n`--fix-to-stdout` which prints the fixed file to stdout.
