This grunt plugin allows you to specify different sets of assets for `dev` or `release` versions of your HTML files.\n\n## Getting Started\n\nInstall this grunt plugin by running this command in root of your project,\n\n```bash\nnpm install grunt-targethtml\n```\nThen add this line to your project's `Gruntfile.js`.\n\n```javascript\ngrunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-targethtml');\n```\n\n## Documentation\n\nConfigure task in `Gruntfile.js`,\n\n```javascript\ntargethtml: {\n dist: {\n files: {\n 'dist/public/index.html': 'src/public/index.html'\n }\n }\n}\n```\n\nThis instructs `targethtml` to process source file `src/public/index.html` and store processed file into `dist/public/index.html`. Use *target tags* in your HTML files like this:\n\n```html\n<!--(if target dev)><!-->\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"dev.css\">\n<!--<!(endif)-->\n\n<!--(if target dev)><!-->\n <script src=\"dev.js\"></script>\n <script>\n var less = { env:'development' };\n </script>\n<!--<!(endif)-->\n\n\n<!--(if target dist)>\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"release.css\">\n<!(endif)-->\n\n<!--(if target dist)>\n <script src=\"release.js\"></script>\n<!(endif)-->\n```\n\nNote, that `dist` section is commented out - during development you are working with `dev` set of assets.\nDuring processing `targethtml:dist`, `dist` section gets active and any other sections (other than `dist`) gets removed.\n\nResulting HTML code\n\n```html\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"release.css\">\n\n <script src=\"release.js\"></script>\n```\n\nThe plugin allows to process multiple files within one target:\n\n```javascript\ntargethtml: {\n dist: {\n files: {\n 'dist/public/index.html': 'src/public/index.html',\n 'dist/public/mobile.html': 'src/public/mobile.html'\n }\n }\n}\n```\n\nYou could use the [if...] notation like we're used from the [if lt IE 9], but ironically that fails in IE.\n\n### Conditional Operators\n\nYou can also use || and ! logical operators to match a target. It can be useful when one base code is used to build applications with more or less abilities\n\n```html\n<!--(if target dev || foo)><!-->\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"dev_or_foo.css\">\n<!--<!(endif)-->\n\n<!--(if target !(foo || bar))><!-->\n <script src=\"not_foo_and_not_bar.js\"></script>\n <script>\n var less = { env:'development' };\n </script>\n<!--<!(endif)-->\n```\n\n### Curly tags\n\nBetween *target tags* you can use simple templating by empovering *curly tags* to pass custom variables. Curly tags must be defined like this:\n\n```html\n<!--(if target dist)>\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"release.css?{{rlsdate}}\">\n<!(endif)-->\n\n<!--(if target dist)>\n <script src=\"release.js?{{rlsdate}}\"></script>\n<!(endif)-->\n```\n\nCurly tags helps you implement cache busting technique to update assets paths in production. Curly tags are defined in `options` of `targethtml` task. You can effectively use Grunt's templating when definig value of curly tags.\n\n```js\ntargethtml: {\n dist: {\n options: {\n curlyTags: {\n rlsdate: '<%= grunt.template.today(\"yyyymmdd\") %>'\n }\n },\n files: {\n 'dist/public/index.html': 'src/public/index.html'\n }\n }\n}\n```\n\nRunning `targethtml:dist` target will yield (at Jan 1st, 2013):\n\n```html\n <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"release.css?20130101\">\n <script src=\"release.js?20130101\"></script>\n```\n\nPlease note that you can use only string as name and value of *curly tag*!\n\n## Contributing\nIn lieu of a formal styleguide, take care to maintain the existing coding style. Add unit tests for any new or changed functionality. Lint and test your code using [grunt][grunt].\n\n## Release History\n* 8/31/12 - v0.1.0 - Initial release.\n* 9/1/12 - v0.1.1 - Fixed naming issues\n* 9/7/12 - v0.1.2 - Accept round braces in if statements for IE support\n* 10/14/12 - v0.1.3 - Adjustments towards grunt file api\n* 1/3/13 - v0.2.0 - Compatility with Grunt v0.4\n* 1/29/13 - v0.2.1 - Fixed towards Grunt 0.4\n* 2/26/13 - v0.2.2 - Allows to process multiple files within one target\n* 5/13/13 - v0.2.3 - Supports wildcards in files option\n* 6/15/13 - v0.2.4 - Curly tags\n\n## License\nCopyright (c) 2012 Ruben Stolk\nLicensed under the MIT license.\n\n[grunt]: https://github.com/gruntjs/grunt\n[getting_started]: https://github.com/gruntjs/grunt/wiki/Getting-started\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_id":"grunt-targethtml@0.2.6","dist":{"shasum":"e6d139a52b2f99449dc9e4da660687ee36620fa4","tarball":"https://registry.npmjs.org/grunt-targethtml/-/grunt-targethtml-0.2.6.tgz","integrity":"sha512-TADijKw3C+6PTC8GVZw7QLYOS9CvFWaMQd+ZxfjuxyK+UJ6soiidP9pyiU2AmmIrXg+51cvYlBqZo05kH2Cyrg==","signatures":[{"keyid":"SHA256:jl3bwswu80PjjokCgh0o2w5c2U4LhQAE57gj9cz1kzA","sig":"MEUCIHVSbPQYL4aSamFE6y8YEX7kPAAbgFuAdTy1yuSiJ3YoAiEAiBhVRHoieXO6mQLvtfl7pn2Gj6s6x0kEsUrU3GIzst8="}]},"_from":".","_npmVersion":"1.2.18","_npmUser":{"name":"rubenstolk","email":"ruben.stolk@changer.nl"},"maintainers":[{"name":"rubenstolk","email":"ruben.stolk@changer.nl"}]}},"readme":"# grunt-targethtml\n\nProduces html-output depending on grunt target\n\n## Getting Started\nInstall this grunt plugin next to your project's [grunt.js gruntfile][getting_started] with: `npm install grunt-targethtml`\n\nThen add this line to your project's `grunt.js` gruntfile:\n\n```javascript\ngrunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-targethtml');\n```\n\n[grunt]: https://github.com/cowboy/grunt\n[getting_started]: https://github.com/cowboy/grunt/blob/master/docs/getting_started.md\n\n## Documentation\nConfigure which files to be outputted in your `initConfig`:\n\n```javascript\ngrunt.initConfig({\n // ... other configs\n\n // produce html\n targethtml: {\n debug: {\n input: 'public/index.html',\n output: 'public/dist/debug/index.html'\n },\n release: {\n input: 'public/index.html',\n output: 'public/dist/release/index.html'\n }\n },\n\n // ... other configs\n});\n```\n\nThere's no need to specify `assets/js/**/*` since the task will automatically recursively delete whatever is in that path.\n\n## Contributing\nIn lieu of a formal styleguide, take care to maintain the existing coding style.
