For example, to start it in development mode with automatic file watching:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\nnpx hamlet --mode development --watch\r\n```\r\n\r\n## Configuration Files\r\n\r\n### Hamlet\r\n\r\nConfiguration file for Hamlet plugins, custom helpers, and build options. You can add a configuration file to the root of your project by creating a `.hamletrc.js` or `hamlet.config.js` file, or by placing a `hamletrc.js` file inside a `.config/` folder. You can also use `.cjs` or `.mjs` extensions.\r\n\r\n#### Basic configuration\r\n\r\n```js\r\nimport testPlugin from '@hamlet/test-plugin'\r\n\r\nexport default {\r\n recompileOnAnyChange: false,\r\n helpers: {\r\n sayHello: name => `Hello, ${name}!`,\r\n },\r\n plugins: [\r\n testPlugin(),\r\n ]\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n#### Options\r\n\r\n- **`helpers`** — Object with custom Handlebars helpers. These helpers don't require namespacing and can override built-in helpers if needed. Use for local project helpers only; for distributable helpers, use the `plugins` system with namespacing.\r\n- **`plugins`** — Array of plugin factory functions. Each plugin should return an object with `partials` and/or `helpers` keys. Namespaced helpers/partials from plugins cannot override built-in or previously registered ones (will be skipped with a warning).\r\n- **`recompileOnAnyChange`** — Boolean (default: `false`). If `true`, CSS is recompiled whenever any file changes (useful for class-based CSS frameworks like Tailwind that generate styles dynamically).\r\n\r\n#### Using context in configuration\r\n\r\nIf your configuration needs access to paths or other context information, export a function instead of an object:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nexport default ({ paths }) => ({\r\n recompileOnAnyChange: true,\r\n helpers: {\r\n projectRoot: () => paths.root,\r\n },\r\n plugins: [\r\n // can use paths.src, paths.dist, etc.\r\n ]\r\n})\r\n```\r\n\r\nAvailable context properties:\r\n- **`paths.root`** — Absolute path to the project root\r\n- **`paths.src`** — Absolute path to the source directory (input)\r\n- **`paths.dist`** — Absolute path to the output directory (dist)\r\n\r\n#### Plugin development\r\n\r\nA plugin must export a default function that returns an object with `namespace` and optionally `partials`, `helpers`, and/or `context`. If a plugin tries to register a name that already exists (a built-in helper/partial, or one from another plugin), it will be skipped with a console warning instead of overwriting it.\r\n\r\nThe `context` key is an optional plain object with data to expose to all Handlebars templates. Hamlet merges it into the template context under the plugin's namespace key, so there are no collisions with the global context or other plugins:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nexport default function myPlugin(options = {}) {\r\n return {\r\n namespace: 'icons',\r\n context: {\r\n spriteUrl: options.spriteUrl ?? '/icons.svg',\r\n },\r\n partials: {},\r\n }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\nIn any template, the plugin context is accessible as `{{.}}`:\r\n\r\n```hbs\r\n{{icons.spriteUrl}}\r\n```\r\n\r\n> [!IMPORTANT]\r\n> Plugins execute arbitrary Node.js code. Check out the official starter: [hamlet-plugin-template](https://github.com/zkreations/hamlet-plugin-template).\r\n\r\n### Rollup\r\n\r\nAdd a `.rolluprc.js`, `rollup.config.js` or create a folder `.config` with a file `rolluprc.js`. You can also use the extension `.cjs` or `.mjs`. Here is an example of configuration:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nimport terser from '@rollup/plugin-terser'\r\n\r\nexport default {\r\n plugins: [\r\n terser()\r\n ]\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n### PostCSS\r\n\r\nAdd a `.postcssrc.js`, `postcss.config.js` or create a folder `.config` with a file `postcssrc.js`. You can also use the extension `.cjs` or `.mjs`. Here is an example of configuration:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nimport autoprefixer from 'autoprefixer'\r\nimport cssnanoPlugin from 'cssnano'\r\n\r\nexport default {\r\n plugins: [\r\n autoprefixer(),\r\n cssnanoPlugin()\r\n ]\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n### Theme\r\n\r\nAdd a `.themerc`, `.themerc.json`, `theme.config.json` or create a folder `.config` with a file `themerc.json`. Also you can add the information in the `package.json` file using the `theme` key. Here is an example of configuration:\r\n\r\n```json\r\n{\r\n \"theme\": {\r\n \"name\": \"Hamlet\",\r\n \"author\": \"zkreations\"\r\n }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\nThe data will be the context of the Handlebars templates, so you can access them as follows:\r\n\r\n```handlebars\r\n{{name}}\r\n{{author}}\r\n```\r\n\r\nIn addition to theme data, the following variables are always available in every template:\r\n\r\n| Variable | Type | Description |\r\n| -------- | ---- | ----------- |\r\n| `defaultmarkups` | object | Blogger widget markup definitions used by `{{> hamlet.defaultmarkups}}` |\r\n| `development` | boolean | `true` when `--mode development`, `false` otherwise |\r\n\r\nExample usage of the `development` variable:\r\n\r\n```handlebars\r\n{{#if development}}\r\n \r\n{{/if}}\r\n```\r\n\r\n## Structure\r\n\r\nThe user is free to organize the files and folders as they wish, as the system will search for `scss`, `sass`, `css`, `js`, `hbs` and `xml` files to compile them as needed.\r\n\r\n\r\n### Compile styles\r\n\r\nThe system will search for `sass`, `scss` and `css` files to compile them. If the file name starts with an underscore `_`, it will be considered a partial file, for example:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\n├── src\r\n│ ├── scss\r\n│ │ ├── _module.scss\r\n│ │ └── main.scss\r\n```\r\n\r\nAnother example with `css` files:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\n├── src\r\n│ ├── css\r\n│ │ ├── _module.css\r\n│ │ └── main.css\r\n```\r\n\r\nThe file `main.scss` or `main.css` will be the main file that will be compiled and saved in the default output folder or the one specified by the user.\r\n\r\n\r\n> [!TIP]\r\n> The PostCSS plugins will also be applied to the `sass` and `scss` files after being compiled.\r\n\r\n\r\n### Compile scripts\r\n\r\nThe system will search for `js` files, however only those that end with `bundle.js` will be considered as main files, for example:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\n├── src\r\n│ ├── js\r\n│ │ ├── module.js\r\n│ │ └── main.bundle.js\r\n```\r\n\r\nThe file `main.bundle.js` will be the main file, while the other files will be considered as modules. Also, when the main file is compiled, \"bundle\" is removed from the file name, so the resulting file will be `main.js`.\r\n\r\n> [!NOTE]\r\n> The name of the main file will be used as the name of the function generated by Rollup.\r\n\r\n\r\n### Compile templates\r\n\r\nThe system will search for `xml`, `hbs` and `handlebars` files to compile them. If the file name starts with an underscore `_`, it will be considered a partial file, for example:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\n├── src\r\n│ ├── templates\r\n│ │ ├── _module.hbs\r\n│ │ └── main.hbs\r\n```\r\n\r\nAnother example with `xml` files:\r\n\r\n```bash\r\n├── src\r\n│ ├── templates\r\n│ │ ├── _module.xml\r\n│ │ └── main.xml\r\n```\r\n\r\nThe file `main.hbs` or `main.xml` will be the main file that will be compiled and saved in the default output folder or the one specified by the user.\r\n\r\nYou can create any number of partials and organize them as you wish, just make sure to use unique names, when a partial is repeated you will receive a warning message. To include a partial use the following syntax:\r\n\r\n```handlebars\r\n{{> module}}\r\n```\r\n\r\n> [!TIP]\r\n> If you have a folder with partials that you frequently create or delete, and they are also called together in a main file, you can use the `folder.` prefix to include all the partials from that folder, for example: `{{> folder.FOLDER_NAME}}`\r\n\r\n#### Helpers\r\n\r\nThese helpers are defined by default in the system, and you can use them in your templates. You can add custom helpers in your `hamlet.config.js`:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nexport default {\r\n helpers: {\r\n myHelper: value => value.toUpperCase(),\r\n }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\nBuilt-in helpers available:\r\n\r\n| Helper | Description |\r\n| ------ | ----------- |\r\n| `asset` | Include the content of the file in the template |\r\n| `currentYear` | Include the current year |\r\n| `eq` | Check if two values are equal (`===`) |\r\n| `ne` | Check if two values are not equal (`!==`) |\r\n| `lt` | Check if the first value is less than the second |\r\n| `gt` | Check if the first value is greater than the second |\r\n| `and` | Logical AND between two values |\r\n| `or` | Logical OR between two values |\r\n| `not` | Negate a value |\r\n| `concat` | Concatenate multiple strings |\r\n| `includes` | Check if a string contains a substring |\r\n| `capitalize` | Capitalize the first letter of a string |\r\n| `first` | Get the first element of an array |\r\n| `last` | Get the last element of an array |\r\n| `switch` / `case` / `default` | Block helpers to create switch-like conditional logic |\r\n\r\nExample of use the `asset` helper:\r\n\r\n```handlebars\r\n{{asset \"dist/css/main.css\"}}\r\n{{asset \"dist/js/main.js\"}}\r\n```\r\n\r\nIf the file is in the `node_modules` folder, you can omit the folder and use `~` to reference it:\r\n\r\n```handlebars\r\n{{asset \"~/tooltips/main.css\"}}\r\n```\r\n\r\n> [!IMPORTANT]\r\n> Remember to use the `
