For example `hanzi.decompose('成', 2)`\nreturns `[ '一', '丿', '㇆', '戈' ]`, while `hanzi.decompose('成', 4)` returns `[ '万', '戈' ]`.\nIt stops at a recognisable radical rather than breaking it into strokes — e.g.\n`hanzi.decompose('当', 4)` returns `[ '⺌', '彐' ]` (not `[ '⺌', '㇕', '二' ]`) and\n`hanzi.decompose('所', 4)` returns `[ '戶', '斤' ]`. Keeps a fused/contained\n  frame whole.\n* `'graphical'` — continues all the way down to strokes, the same leaves as\n  `decompose(character, 3)`.\n\nEach node is `{ character, children }`; a leaf has an empty `children` array. A\ncoherent component that has no Unicode glyph is surfaced as\n`{ character: 'No glyph available', id: <number>, children: [] }`, where `id` is\nits identifier in the underlying data. hanzi.parsePinyin(pinyin); - NEW in v3.1.0\n\nSplits a pinyin syllable into its underlying initial (声母) and final (韵母), following 《汉语拼音方案》.\n\nPinyin spelling is not a phonemic transcription, so slicing a syllable at the first vowel gives the wrong answer. The same final is written differently depending on whether the syllable has an initial: 有 `you` and 牛 `niu` share the final `iou`, but the standard writes the zero-initial form as `you` and abbreviates the post-initial form to `iu`. This function undoes those conventions, so syllables that actually rhyme compare as equal.\n\nAccepts tone-numbered or toneless pinyin, in any case, with ü written as `ü`, `u:` or `v`.\n\n```javascript\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('niu2'));\n\n{ raw: 'niu2',\n  syllable: 'niu',\n  tone: 2,\n  initial: 'n',\n  final: 'iou',\n  medial: 'i',\n  rhyme: 'ou',\n  emptyRhyme: false }\n\n// same final, no initial\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('you3').final);   // 'iou'\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('gui1').final);   // 'uei'  (not 'ui')\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('wen1').final);   // 'uen'  (not 'en')\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('jun1').final);   // 'ün'   (not 'un')\nconsole.log(hanzi.parsePinyin('lu:4').final);   // 'ü'\n```\n\nThe fields are:\n\n*   `syllable` — the syllable without its tone, normalised so that ü is always written `ü`\n*   `tone` — 1-5, or `null` if the input carried no tone\n*   `initial` — the 声母, an empty string for zero-initial syllables. `y` and `w` are never initials; the scheme treats them as spellings of the medials `i`/`u`/`ü`\n*   `final` — the 韵母\n*   `medial` — the 韵头 (`''`, `i`, `u` or `ü`)\n*   `rhyme` — what remains of the final once the medial is removed, so that finals differing only in their medial can be compared (然 `ran` and 犬 `quan` both have the rhyme `an`)\n*   `emptyRhyme` — `true` for the `i` of 知, 吃, 诗, 日, 资, 雌, 思, which the scheme spells the same as the `i` of 比, 机, 西 but which does not rhyme with it\n\nReturns `null` for anything that is not a Mandarin syllable, including the syllabic nasals (`m`, `n`, `ng`, `hng`) and the `_stroke` / `_number` sentinels that `getPinyin` returns for componentry with no reading.\n\n#### hanzi.getCharacterFrequency(character);\n\nReturns frequency data for a character based on the Junda corpus. The data is in simplified characters, but I made the function script agnostic. The full result is longer, because a character is matched whenever 囗 appears at its once- or radical-decomposition level — including characters where 囗 only surfaces after deeper decomposition (e.g. 回 = 囗 within 囗, so 徊, 茴 and 蛔 are matched too).\n\n#### hanzi.determinePhoneticRegularity(decomposition_object/character);\n\nThis function takes a decomposition object created by hanzi.decompose() or a character, then returns an object that displays all possible combinations of phonetic regularity relationship of the character to all its components.\n\nThe components it scores are drawn from the whole **primitive decomposition tree** — every node in the tree, both internal grouping nodes and leaves (deduplicated). This lets it catch a phonetic component that sits at an intermediate node (e.g. `相` inside `想`, or `果` inside `裹`) rather than only the outermost split.\n\nPhonetic Regularity Scale:\n\n*   0 = No regularity\n*   1 = Exact Match (with tone)\n*   2 = Syllable Match (without tone)\n*   3 = Similar in Initial (alliterates)\n*   4 = Similar in Final (rhymes)\n*   5 = Similar in Rhyme — the finals differ only in their medial, e.g. 然 `ran` and its phonetic 犬 `quan`, or 就 `jiu` and 口 `kou` (NEW in v3.1.0)\n*   6 = Similar in Initial and rhyming — a 4 or a 5 whose initials are *different* but share a place of articulation, e.g. 现 `xian` and its phonetic 见 `jian` (NEW in v3.1.0)\n\nThe initials and finals are computed with [hanzi.parsePinyin()](#hanziparsepinyinpinyin---new-in-v310), so syllables are compared by the sounds they represent rather than by how they are spelled: 就 `jiu4` and 尤 `you2` rhyme (both `iou`), while 去 `qu4` and 土 `tu3` do not (`ü` against `u`).\n\nScale 6 exists because a shared final is easy to hit by chance, but a shared final under a near-miss initial usually is not. The grouped initials are the ones that differ only in aspiration or in stop-vs-fricative manner, and so are readily confused by ear:\n\n| group | character | phonetic |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| b, p | 判 `pan4` | 半 `ban4` |\n| d, t | 停 `ting2` | 丁 `ding1` |\n| g, k | 空 `kong1` | 工 `gong1` |\n| j, q, x | 现 `xian4` | 见 `jian4` |\n| z, c, s | 增 `zeng1` | 曾 `ceng2` |\n| zh, ch, sh | 张 `zhang1` | 长 `chang2` |\n\n`m`, `f`, `n`, `l`, `h` and `r` are ungrouped — each is the only Mandarin initial at its place and manner — so a pair like 是 `shi4` / 日 `ri4` stays at 4.\n\nThe two initials must actually differ. A pair that already shares its initial is a plain match rather than a near miss, so 解 `jie3` / 角 `jue2` stays at 5.\n\nThe object returned is organized by the possible pronunciations of the character. A component may appear more than once when it has multiple readings (each reading is scored separately).
