Workers can then be spawned to focus\non a given set of tags. \n\n*Kinetik is in early-alpha. Don't forget to `watch` for further developments.*\n\n##### What is Seed?\n\n[Seed](http://github.com/qualiancy/seed), which stands for _storage-agnostic, event emitting datasets_, \nis a library of components that provide a common API for working with data, no matter the source. \n\nBy using Seed, a Kinetik queue can be stored using any of Seed's storage adapters, including\n[Redis](https://github.com/qualiancy/seed-redis) or [MongoDB](https://github.com/qualiancy/seed-mongodb).\n\n[Visit the Seed project page](http://github.com/qualiancy/seed) to learn more, and see alternative storage solutions.\n\n## Installation\n\nKinetik is available on NPM.\n\n      $ npm install kinetik\n\n## Basic Usage\n\n#### Choose Your Storage\n\nThe first step to using Kinetik is creating a new Queue using one of Seed's storage engines.\n\n```js\nvar kinetik = require('kinetik')\n  , RedisStore = require('seed-redis').Store;\n\n// we are using a redis with a default config\nvar queue = kinetik.createQueue({\n  store: new RedisStore()\n});\n```\n\nYou can use any of Seed's available storage adapters. See that adapater's documentation for relevant configurations.\n\n#### Defining Jobs\n\nNext, you will need to define a job.\n\n```js\nqueue\n  .define('send email')\n  .tag('notifications')\n  .action(function (job, done) {\n    var email = job.data.email\n      , subject = job.data.subject;\n    myAsyncMailer(email, subject, function (err) {\n      if (err) return done(err);\n      done();\n    });\n  });\n\n// tell our queue to process all incoming `notifications`.\nqueue.process([ 'notifications' ]);\n```\n\n*Notes*\n\n* The `tag` \"notifications\" allows us to group common types of jobs together for completion by a single worker process.\n* The `job` parameter for the action will be comprised of all relevant data needed to complete the task.\n* The `done` parameter for the action accepts an error object as parameter.
