Main use-case is running `mocha`'s node module as external tool in IDE's like WebStorm or other basic consoles, but should work in all cli/console mocha flavours if you manage to pass it to mocha as `--reporter`. use-case is running mocha's node module embedded in external tools though IDE's like WebStorm or other basic consoles and low-tech buffered output. It works in all mocha node.js module flavours if you pass it to mocha as `reporter`. It could easily be adapted to alternate unfunky displays.\r\n\r\nThe reporter does *not* extend mocha's default Base reporter prototype, because that is a main source of funkyness, so not all of mocha's reporter related options are supported.\r\n\r\nIt defaults to colorless display but there is a option to enable ANSI colors. For example in `grunt-mocha-test`:\r\n\r\n````js\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\t// ...\r\n\tmochaTest: {\r\n\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\treporter: 'mocha-unfunk-reporter'\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t\tany: {\r\n\t\t\tsrc: ['test/_tmp.test.js']\r\n\t\t}\r\n\t}\r\n});\r\n````\r\n\r\n### Options\r\n\r\nThere are multiple ways to pass globals:\r\n\r\n````js\r\n//on env with prefixed name\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-<option_name>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n//on module using .option() method\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('<option_name>', <option_value>);\r\n\r\n//also in bulk\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({<name>: <value>, <name>: <value>});\r\n````\r\n\r\nReport styling: `style`\r\n\r\n* `'ansi'` - plain with ansi color codes (default)\r\n* `'plain'` - plain text\r\n* `'html'` - html span's with css colors\r\n* `'css'` - html span's with css classes\r\n\r\nOutput mode: `writer` \r\n\r\n* `'log'` - buffer and stream per line to `console.log()` (default)\r\n* `'stdio'` - stream to `process.stdout`\r\n* `'bulk'` - single buffered `console.log()`\r\n* `'null'` - ignore output\r\n\r\nUse custom stream: `stream` \r\n\r\n* any standard `WritableStream`\r\n\r\nFilter internals from stack: `stackFilter` \r\n\r\n* `true` (default) or `false`\r\n\r\n## Examples\r\n\r\nSomething like this (may be outdated):\r\n\r\nOption: `style = 'plain'`\r\n\r\n![plain](https://raw.github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/master/media/example_output_default.png)\r\n\r\n-----\r\n\r\nOption: `style = 'ansi'`\r\n\r\n![ansi](https://raw.github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/master/media/example_output_color.png)\r\n\r\n\r\n## Compatibility\r\n\r\n### Assertion libraries\r\n\r\nTested with:\r\n\r\n* [Chai Assertion Libary](http://chaijs.com) (best of the best, but no IE < 9)\r\n* [Proclaim](https://github.com/Bartvds/proclaim) (Chai-like `'assert'`, supports IE < 9)\r\n* CommonJS-style `'assert'` (Node.js, browserify etc)\r\n\r\nShould work with any assertion library, like:\r\n\r\n* Expect.js (minimal reporting, use Chai's expect-style)\r\n* Should.js (untested, use Chai's should-style)\r\n\r\nCreate an issue if you got a tip or see bugs.\r\n\r\n### Mocha flavors:\r\n\r\nTesting on:\r\n\r\n* mocha (bin cli)\r\n* [grunt-mocha-test](https://github.com/pghalliday/grunt-mocha-test) (grunt + node)\r\n* grunt-simple-mocha (grunt + node)\r\n* grunt-mocha-spawn (grunt + node)\r\n* grunt-mocha (grunt + phantomJS) (use my [fork](https://github.com/Bartvds/grunt-mocha) until this [pull request](https://github.com/kmiyashiro/grunt-mocha/pull/74) lands)\r\n\r\nKnown to work:\r\n\r\n* grunt-cafe-mocha (grunt + node)\r\n\r\nCreate an issue if you got a tip or request for more.\r\n\r\n## Versions\r\n\r\n* 0.2.0 - added string diff, more assertions and runner compatibility, changed default to `style='ansi'`\r\n* 0.1.13 - fix for grunt-mocha duration stats compatibility\r\n* 0.1.12 - refactored options; The default config uses only some ANSI console colour codes and writes with console.log() but has option to be tuned up or down for your specific unfunky use-case.\r\n\r\n### Notes\r\n\r\n* The reporter does *not* extend mocha's default Base prototype because that is a main source of funkyness. This means not all of mocha's reporter features are supported.\r\n* There are many features to ease testing usability, like aggressive attempts at getting a sensible error message or a stack filter that attempts to compact the stack trace by dropping mocha function calls.\r\n\r\n### Diffs\r\n\r\n* There is a diff report with custom display that works even on plain-text display.\r\n* String-diff algorithm is [jsDiff](https://github.com/kpdecker/jsdiff). \r\n* Object-diff algorithm is [objectDiff](https://github.com/NV/objectDiff.js) with nested string-diff. May be stricter then your assertions!\r\n\r\n## Options\r\n\r\nThere are multiple ways to set global options:\r\n\r\n````js\r\n//on module using .option() method\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('<option_name>', <option_value>);\r\n\r\n//also in bulk\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({<name>: <value>, <name>: <value>});\r\n\r\n//or on env with prefixed name\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-<option_name>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n//env also work Bash-style: upper-cased and underscores instead of dashes\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_<OPTION_NAME>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n````\r\nFor example these are equivalent:\r\n````\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_REPORTPENDING'] = true;\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-reportPending'] = true;\r\n\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('reportPending', true);\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({reportPending: true});\r\n````\r\n\r\nThe package also expose a grunt task `mocha_unfunk` to set reporter options.\r\n\r\n````\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\tmocha_unfunk: {\r\n\t\tmyStyle: {\r\n\t\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\t\tstyle: 'plain'\r\n\t\t\t}\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t}\r\n\t//...\r\n}\r\n````\r\n\r\n\r\n### Values\r\n\r\nReport styling: `style`\r\n\r\n* `'ansi'` - plain with ansi color codes (default)\r\n* `'plain'` - plain text\r\n* `'none'` - even plainer text\r\n* `'html'` - html span's with css colors\r\n* `'css'` - html span's with css classes\r\n* `'dev'` - style development codes\r\n\r\nOutput mode: `writer` \r\n\r\n* `'log'` - buffer and stream per line to `console.log()` (default)\r\n* `'stdio'` - stream to `process.stdout`\r\n* `'bulk'` - single buffered `console.log()`\r\n* `'null'` - ignore output\r\n\r\nReport details about pending specs, alongside failures: `reportPending`\r\n\r\n* `false` (default) or `true`\r\n\r\nUse custom stream: `stream` \r\n\r\n* any standard `WritableStream` (only usable via `require()`)\r\n\r\nFilter internals from stack: `stackFilter` \r\n\r\n* `true` (default) or `false`\r\n\r\n## Usage\r\nInstall from npm:\r\n\r\n````\r\n$ npm install mocha-unfunk-reporter\r\n```` \r\n\r\nThen use `'mocha-unfunk-reporter'` as `reporter` parameter in your favourite mocha runner. \r\n\r\nFor example in `grunt-mocha-test`:\r\n\r\n````js\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\t// ...\r\n\tmochaTest: {\r\n\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\treporter: 'mocha-unfunk-reporter'\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t\tany: {\r\n\t\t\tsrc: ['test/**/*.test.js']\r\n\t\t}\r\n\t}\r\n});\r\n````\r\n\r\n## Examples\r\n\r\nSomething like this: ([full version](https://raw.github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/master/media/mocha-unfunk-02.png))\r\n\r\n![ansi](https://raw.github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/master/media/mocha-unfunk-04.png)\r\n\r\nIf you got development install you can use `$ grunt demo` to get a quick demo overview.\r\n\r\n\r\n## Compatibility\r\n\r\n### Assertion libraries\r\n\r\nTested with:\r\n\r\n* [Chai Assertion Libary](http://chaijs.com) (best of the best, but no IE < 9)\r\n* [Proclaim](https://github.com/Bartvds/proclaim) (Chai-like `'assert'`, supports IE < 9)\r\n* CommonJS-style `'assert'` (Node.js, browserify etc)\r\n\r\nShould work with any assertion library, like:\r\n\r\n* Expect.js (minimal reporting, use Chai's expect-style)\r\n* Should.js (untested, use Chai's should-style)\r\n\r\nCreate an issue if you got a tip or see bugs.\r\n\r\n### Mocha flavors:\r\n\r\nTesting on:\r\n\r\n* mocha (bin cli)\r\n* [grunt-mocha](https://github.com/kmiyashiro/grunt-mocha) (grunt + phantomJS)\r\n* [grunt-mocha-test](https://github.com/pghalliday/grunt-mocha-test) (grunt + node)\r\n\r\nKnown to work:\r\n\r\n* grunt-simple-mocha (grunt + node)\r\n* grunt-mocha-spawn (grunt + node)\r\n* grunt-cafe-mocha (grunt + node)\r\n\r\nCreate an issue if you got a tip or request for more.\r\n\r\n## Build\r\n\r\nUnfunk-reporter is written in [TypeScript](http://typescript.com) and built using [grunt](http://gruntjs.com).\r\n\r\nInstall development dependencies in your git checkout:\r\n````\r\n$ npm install\r\n````\r\n\r\nYou need the global [grunt](http://gruntjs.com) command:\r\n````\r\n$ npm install grunt-cli -g\r\n````\r\n\r\nBuild and run tests:\r\n````\r\n// self test\r\n$ grunt\r\n\r\n// show some failing tests\r\n$ grunt dev\r\n````\r\n\r\nSee the `Gruntfile` for additional commands, including many mocha runners.\r\n\r\n## Versions\r\n\r\n* 0.3.0 - improved diffs (speed, linebreaks, escape with [jsesc](https://github.com/mathiasbynens/jsesc)), added output testing, grunt task, updated project\r\n* 0.2.3 - support bash style uppercased+underscore-style ENV options, don't diff excessively lengthy objects (strings/arrays/arguments/buffers) \r\n* 0.2.2 - fixed regular Error (stack) reporting, added `chai-as-promised` & `mocha-as-promised` to stack filter, updated screenshot\r\n* 0.2.1 - tweaked display, added pending test report (by @geekdave)\r\n* 0.2.0 - added string diff, more assertions and runner compatibility, changed default to `style='ansi'`\r\n* 0.1.13 - fix for grunt-mocha duration stats compatibility\r\n* 0.1.12 - refactored options; added style and writer\r\n* 0.1.11 - added mocha bin command test, improved reporting\r\n* 0.1.10 - objectDiff fix, added option() methods\r\n* 0.1.8 - compatible with grunt-mocha (PhantomJS)\r\n\r\n## Credit\r\n\r\n* String diff from [jsDiff](https://github.com/kpdecker/jsdiff) by Kevin Decker\r\n* Object diff from [objectDiff](https://github.com/NV/objectDiff.js) by Nikita Vasilyev\r\n* Color codes from [colors.js](https://github.com/marak/colors.js/) by Marak Squires & Alexis Sellier (cloudhead)\r\n\r\n## License\r\n\r\nCopyright (c) 2013 Bart van der Schoor\r\n\r\nLicensed under the MIT license.","readmeFilename":"README.md","_id":"mocha-unfunk-reporter@0.3.2","dist":{"shasum":"bea68bba2196c1ea8fc03ae0f71421e2a6a37ec5","tarball":"https://registry.npmjs.org/mocha-unfunk-reporter/-/mocha-unfunk-reporter-0.3.2.tgz","integrity":"sha512-7AWu8SXgTm+vnSKQKS+KLfAiyY6xRmJ6HnL7cETJaeGKcpzIm4TAmI5co0J2ZQxnl29/B0IPZa0svegskreIPQ==","signatures":[{"keyid":"SHA256:jl3bwswu80PjjokCgh0o2w5c2U4LhQAE57gj9cz1kzA","sig":"MEUCIQD3aitvDA/IeT6BO5YizCpuJTzzzXx6RtO+pHw0M8oB7wIgIdY2XWSZxBjeOLrdrUN7boOsTou+lI60eMjXiJ4w57M="}]},"_from":".","_npmVersion":"1.3.11","_npmUser":{"name":"bartvds","email":"bartvanderschoor@gmail.com"},"maintainers":[{"name":"bartvds","email":"bartvanderschoor@gmail.com"}],"directories":{}},"0.3.3":{"name":"mocha-unfunk-reporter","version":"0.3.3","description":"Mocha reporter without console funkyness","author":{"name":"Bart van der Schoor","url":"https://github.com/Bartvds"},"homepage":"https://github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter","repository":{"type":"git","url":"https://github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter.git"},"bugs":{"url":"https://github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/issues"},"licenses":[{"type":"MIT","url":"https://github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter/blob/master/LICENSE-MIT"}],"keywords":["mocha","reporter","windows","tools","console","unfunk"],"main":"build/unfunk.js","scripts":{"test":"grunt test"},"dependencies":{"jsesc":"0.4.3","diff":"~1.0.7"},"devDependencies":{"grunt":"git://github.com/gruntjs/grunt/#0a4e6e38867cde1c396eb99820436027dccf8023","grunt-cli":"0.1.9","grunt-contrib-clean":"0.4.1","jshint-path-reporter":"~0.1.0","grunt-mocha-test":"~0.4.0","mocha":"~1.13.0","grunt-shell":"0.3.0","chai":"git://github.com/Bartvds/chai/#ec97fb27707253ddf3714cccc9f1f6c3afb20cca","proclaim":"1.4.0","source-map-support":"0.2.3","grunt-bump":"0.0.11","grunt-mocha":"0.4.1","grunt-contrib-jshint":"~0.6.3","grunt-continue":"0.0.1","grunt-fileindex":"~0.1.0","tslint-path-formatter":"0.1.0","grunt-tslint":"~0.3.2","grunt-run-grunt":"0.1.2","gruntfile-gtx":"0.0.7","ansidiff":"~1.0.0","grunt-concurrent":"~0.4.1","chai-fs":"0.0.3","grunt-typescript":"~0.2.4","mkdirp":"~0.3.5"},"readme":"# mocha-unfunk-reporter\r\n[![Build Status](https://secure.travis-ci.org/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter.png?branch=master)](http://travis-ci.org/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter) [![Dependency Status](https://gemnasium.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter.png)](https://gemnasium.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter) [![NPM version](https://badge.fury.io/js/mocha-unfunk-reporter.png)](http://badge.fury.io/js/mocha-unfunk-reporter)\r\n\r\n> Mocha reporter without console funkyness\r\n\r\n## What?\r\n\r\nThis is a `Spec`-style console reporter for [mocha](http://visionmedia.github.io/mocha/) that doesn't confuse lesser console environments with funky display modes, cursor tricks or weird control characters.\r\n\r\nMain use-case is running mocha's in basic console views embedded in IDE's or setups with text buffered output (like travis-ci). The default config uses only some ANSI console colour codes and writes with console.log() but has option to be tuned up or down for your specific unfunky use-case.\r\n\r\n### Notes\r\n\r\n* The reporter does *not* extend mocha's default Base prototype because that is a main source of funkyness. This means not all of mocha's reporter features are supported.\r\n* There are many features to ease testing usability, like aggressive attempts at getting a sensible error message or a stack filter that attempts to compact the stack trace by dropping mocha function calls.\r\n\r\n### Diffs\r\n\r\n* There is a diff report with custom display that works even on plain-text display.\r\n* String-diff algorithm is [jsDiff](https://github.com/kpdecker/jsdiff). \r\n* Object-diff algorithm is [objectDiff](https://github.com/NV/objectDiff.js) with nested string-diff. May be stricter then your assertions!\r\n\r\n## Options\r\n\r\nThere are multiple ways to set global options:\r\n\r\n````js\r\n//on module using .option() method\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('<option_name>', <option_value>);\r\n\r\n//also in bulk\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({<name>: <value>, <name>: <value>});\r\n\r\n//or on env with prefixed name\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-<option_name>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n//env also work Bash-style: upper-cased and underscores instead of dashes\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_<OPTION_NAME>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n````\r\nFor example these are equivalent:\r\n````\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_REPORTPENDING'] = true;\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-reportPending'] = true;\r\n\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('reportPending', true);\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({reportPending: true});\r\n````\r\n\r\nThe package also expose a grunt task `mocha_unfunk` to set reporter options.\r\n\r\n````\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\tmocha_unfunk: {\r\n\t\tmyStyle: {\r\n\t\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\t\tstyle: 'plain'\r\n\t\t\t}\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t}\r\n\t//...\r\n}\r\n````\r\n\r\n\r\n### Values\r\n\r\nReport styling: `style`\r\n\r\n* `'ansi'` - plain with ansi color codes (default)\r\n* `'plain'` - plain text\r\n* `'none'` - even plainer text\r\n* `'html'` - html span's with css colors\r\n* `'css'` - html span's with css classes\r\n* `'dev'` - The default config uses only some ANSI console colour codes and writes with console.log() but has option to be tuned up or down for your specific unfunky use-case.\r\n\r\n### Notes\r\n\r\n* The reporter does *not* extend mocha's default Base prototype because that is a main source of funkyness. This means not all of mocha's reporter features are supported.\r\n* There are many features to ease testing usability, like aggressive attempts at getting a sensible error message or a stack filter that attempts to compact the stack trace by dropping mocha function calls.\r\n\r\n### Diffs\r\n\r\n* There is a diff report with custom display that works even on plain-text display.\r\n* String-diff algorithm is [jsDiff](https://github.com/kpdecker/jsdiff). \r\n* Object-diff algorithm is [objectDiff](https://github.com/NV/objectDiff.js) with nested string-diff. May be stricter then your assertions!\r\n\r\n## Options\r\n\r\nThere are multiple ways to set global options:\r\n\r\n````js\r\n//on module using .option() method\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('<option_name>', <option_value>);\r\n\r\n//also in bulk\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({<name>: <value>, <name>: <value>});\r\n\r\n//or on env with prefixed name\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-<option_name>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n//env also work Bash-style: upper-cased and underscores instead of dashes\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_<OPTION_NAME>'] = <option_value>;\r\n\r\n````\r\nFor example these are equivalent:\r\n````\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_REPORTPENDING'] = true;\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-reportPending'] = true;\r\n\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('reportPending', true);\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({reportPending: true});\r\n````\r\n\r\nThe package also expose a grunt task `mocha_unfunk` to set reporter options.\r\n\r\n````\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\tmocha_unfunk: {\r\n\t\tmyStyle: {\r\n\t\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\t\tstyle: 'plain'\r\n\t\t\t}\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t}\r\n\t//...\r\n}\r\n````\r\n\r\n\r\n### Values\r\n\r\nReport styling: `style`\r\n\r\n* `'ansi'` - plain with ansi color codes (default)\r\n* `'plain'` - plain text\r\n* `'none'` - even plainer text\r\n* `'html'` - html span's with css colors\r\n* `'css'` - html span's with css classes\r\n* `'dev'` - The default config uses only some ANSI console colour codes and writes with console.log() but has option to be tuned up or down for your specific unfunky use-case.\r\n\r\n### Notes\r\n\r\n* The reporter does *not* extend mocha's default Base prototype because that is a main source of funkyness. This means not all of mocha's reporter features are supported.\r\n* There are many features to ease testing usability, like aggressive attempts at getting a sensible error message or a stack filter that attempts to compact the stack trace by dropping mocha function calls.\r\n\r\n### Diffs\r\n\r\n* There is a diff report with custom display that works even on plain-text display.\r\n\t* Object-diff algorithm is [objectDiff](https://github.com/NV/objectDiff.js) with nested string-diff. May be stricter then your assertions!\r\n\t* String-diff algorithm is [jsDiff](https://github.com/kpdecker/jsdiff). \r\n\r\n\r\n## Usage\r\n\r\nInstall from npm:\r\n\r\n````\r\n$ npm install mocha-unfunk-reporter --save-dev\r\n```` \r\n\r\nThen use `'mocha-unfunk-reporter'` as `reporter` parameter in your favourite mocha runner. \r\n\r\nFor example in `grunt-mocha-test`:\r\n\r\n````js\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\t// ...\r\n\tmochaTest: {\r\n\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\treporter: 'mocha-unfunk-reporter'\r\n\t\t},\r\n\t\tany: {\r\n\t\t\tsrc: ['test/**/*.test.js']\r\n\t\t}\r\n\t}\r\n});\r\n````\r\n\r\n## Options\r\n\r\nThere are multiple ways to set global options:\r\n\r\n````js\r\n//on module using .option() method\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('<option_name>', <option_value>);\r\n//or on env with prefixed name\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-<option_name>'] = <option_value>;\r\n//env also work Bash-style: upper-cased and underscores instead of dashes\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_<OPTION_NAME>'] = <option_value>;\r\n````\r\n\r\nThese are equivalent:\r\n\r\n````js\r\nprocess.env['MOCHA_UNFUNK_REPORTPENDING'] = true;\r\nprocess.env['mocha-unfunk-reportPending'] = true;\r\n\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option('reportPending', true);\r\nrequire('mocha-unfunk-reporter').option({reportPending: true});\r\n````\r\n\r\nThe package also expose a grunt task `mocha_unfunk` to set reporter options.\r\n\r\n````js\r\ngrunt.initConfig({\r\n\tmocha_unfunk: {\r\n\t\tmyStyle: {\r\n\t\t\toptions: {\r\n\t\t\t\tstyle: 'plain'\r\n\t\t\t}\r\n\t\t}\r\n\t}\r\n}\r\n````\r\n\r\n\r\n### Values\r\n\r\nReport styling: `style`\r\n\r\n* `'ansi'` - Main use-case is running `mocha`'s node module as external tool in IDE's like WebStorm or other basic consoles, but should work in all cli/console mocha flavours if you manage to pass it to mocha as `--reporter`. It should easily be adapted to alternate unfunky displays.\r\n\r\nThe reporter does *not* extend `mocha`'s default Base reporter prototype, because that is main source of funkyness, so not all of mocha's reporter related options are supported.\r\n\r\nIt defaults to colorless display, although there is a functional ANSI styler. But since we can't use the Base reporter there's currently no clean way to enable this using `color/no-color`. If you *must* have some color in your reporting you can re-enable it in unfunk.ts and recompile.\r\n\r\n## Todo\r\n\r\n* There's a *major* bug in most `grunt` `mocha` plugin regarding async errors, which prevents the combination to be as successfull as it should. This is reflected in the crazy devDependencies.\r\n\r\n* I'm open for suggestions how to pass options and enable color properly, especially if it works with mocha's `color/no-color` flags.\r\n\r\n* Since it is low on dependencies and only writing forward (no carriage returns or weird offset operators) it should also be possible to make a browser (console) version, even something that streams to a unfunky remote display.\r\n\r\n* I would like to add diff support but that will be tricky to do without depending on colors.\r\n\r\n## Usage\r\n\r\nInstall in your project using `npm install mocha-unfunk-reporter`, maybe global for comamnd line mocha. Then use `mocha-unfunk-reporter` as mocha's `reporter` parameter.\r\n\r\n## Versions\r\n\r\n0.1.1 - basic version, colors disabled\r\n\r\n## Develop\r\n\r\nUnfunk-reporter is written in TypeScript and built using `grunt`: so run `grunt` to rebuild and display a test, and `grunt build` for a clean rebuild.\r\n\r\n## Example output\r\n\r\nMay or may not be up-2-date with actual output.\r\n\r\n```\r\n  kitteh\r\n    can\r\n      meow.. pass\r\n      has\r\n        milk.. pass\r\n        cheeseburgers.. pass\r\n        some\r\n          yarn.. pass\r\n          hats.. fail\r\n        no\r\n          dogs.. fail\r\n\r\n  mocha grunt task\r\n    should register a multi task.. pass\r\n    should run asynchronously.. pass\r\n    should clear the require cache before sending tests to mocha so that it can be run from a watch task.. pass\r\n    should load mocha options from mochaTestConfig.. pass\r\n    should use named config where available.. pass\r\n    should expand and add the file list to files in Mocha.. pass\r\n    should catch and log exceptions thrown by Mocha to the console before failing the task so that it can be run from a watch task.. pass\r\n    should fail if any tests fail.. pass\r\n    should succeed if no tests fail.. pass\r\n    should add a single file added to the require option.. pass\r\n    should expose global variables from the file added with the require option.. fail\r\n    invert option\r\n      should not call the invert chainable function by default.. pass\r\n      should pass through the invert option to the invert chainable function.. pass\r\n    ignoreLeaks option\r\n      should not call the ignoreLeaks chainable function by default.. pass\r\n      should pass through the ignoreLeaks option to the ignoreLeaks chainable function.. pass\r\n    growl option\r\n      should not call the growl chainable function by default.. pass\r\n      should pass through the growl option to the growl chainable function.. pass\r\n    globals option\r\n      should not call the globals chainable function by default.. pass\r\n      should pass through the globals option to the globals chainable function.. pass\r\n    with grunt 0.4.x\r\n      should expand and add the file list to files in Mocha.. pass\r\n\r\nexecuted 28 tests with 3 failures and 1 pending (85ms)\r\n\r\n1: kitteh can has some hats\r\n      expected 'hat' to equal 'silly'\r\n\r\n2: kitteh can has no dogs\r\n      expected 'dogs' to equal 'not here'\r\n\r\n3: mocha grunt task should expose global variables from the file added with the require option\r\n      ReferenceError: testVar is not defined\r\n        at Context.<anonymous> (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\mocha.test.js:188:14)\r\n        at Test.Runnable.run (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runnable.js:213:32)\r\n        at Runner.runTest (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:351:10)\r\n        at D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:397:12\r\n        at next (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:277:14)\r\n        at D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:286:7\r\n        at next (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:234:23)\r\n        at Object._onImmediate (D:\\_Editing\\github\\mocha\\test\\node_modules\\mocha\\lib\\runner.js:254:5)\r\n        at processImmediate [as _immediateCallback] (timers.js:309:15)\r\n","maintainers":[{"name":"bartvds","email":"bartvanderschoor@gmail.com"}],"time":{"modified":"2022-06-20T01:50:18.840Z","created":"2013-05-18T14:39:20.847Z","0.1.1":"2013-05-18T14:39:25.516Z","0.1.2":"2013-05-18T14:42:45.047Z","0.1.3":"2013-05-20T14:15:49.283Z","0.1.4":"2013-05-20T17:30:24.125Z","0.1.5":"2013-06-06T20:22:16.511Z","0.1.6":"2013-06-11T23:18:32.726Z","0.1.7":"2013-06-12T01:17:31.276Z","0.1.8":"2013-06-13T21:12:43.965Z","0.1.9":"2013-06-14T16:21:39.758Z","0.1.10":"2013-06-25T15:26:29.918Z","0.1.12":"2013-06-28T17:48:23.035Z","0.2.0":"2013-07-12T19:36:31.332Z","0.2.1":"2013-08-16T02:38:03.563Z","0.2.2":"2013-09-26T23:00:20.186Z","0.2.3":"2013-09-27T18:41:42.919Z","0.3.0":"2013-10-30T23:42:06.627Z","0.3.1":"2013-10-31T02:49:08.026Z","0.3.2":"2013-11-01T20:44:11.281Z","0.3.3":"2013-11-03T12:37:17.163Z","0.3.4":"2013-11-05T06:49:45.031Z","0.3.5":"2013-11-05T23:55:49.373Z","0.3.6":"2013-11-26T14:44:45.135Z","0.3.7":"2013-11-28T03:04:55.546Z","0.4.0":"2013-12-18T01:50:39.376Z"},"author":{"name":"Bart van der Schoor","url":"https://github.com/Bartvds"},"repository":{"type":"git","url":"https://github.com/Bartvds/mocha-unfunk-reporter.git"},"users":{"hellboy81":true}}
