What should you look for in an elementary school backpack?

Kids heading back to school need backpacks that are supportive, comfortable, and promote healthy posture. Backpacks with two straps distribute weight evenly, which is better for a youngster's neck, shoulders, and spine. Kids who walk home from school or wait outdoors for transportation should have reflectors on their backpacks for visibility. A backpack should also fit properly, which means it should rest on the lower back no more than 4 inches below the waist.
