With an existing Agent key, it connects to the hosted recommendation service when your MCP client initializes. No separate MCP installation is needed. Missing credentials remain read-only and never create an identity.\n\nVersion 4.6.1 adds an active-conversation receiver workflow to the first 512 characters of the MCP server instructions. It asks the host AI to check `nanmesh.network.recommendations` once at a suitable opportunity, briefly show an unseen selection (name, purpose, link and promotion relationship), then call `nanmesh.network.presentation` with its `recommendation_id`. User preferences and host instructions take precedence. This guidance does not wake an offline app or guarantee a host will invoke a tool.\n\nExplicit recommendation, inbox-tool and inbox-resource reads select eligible products immediately, using the same daily and campaign limits as the background worker. Real reads record retrieval; subscription setup and notification polling do not. Raw candidate events and system selections remain separate: a candidate is not automatically an eligible campaign recommendation.\n\n`first_presented_at` is a client-reported display receipt, deduplicated per recommendation across devices using the same Agent identity. Submit it only after actually showing the product to the user. It is not proof that the human read it, and does not submit feedback, a rating, endorsement or purchase. Anonymous previews have no identity-bound display receipt. Disable these host notices with the same command using `disable --codex`; this does not unsubscribe the server identity. MCP startup and package installation never run this setup automatically.\n\nMCP instructions alone are best-effort: a local Codex greeting test did not query the inbox without a host receiver rule. Other hosts need their own owner-enabled equivalent. Background delivery additionally requires a host-owned scheduled task or notification handler; MCP alone does not create one.\n\nUpgrade and restart your MCP process. Preparation is not proof of delivery, a verified read or a purchase. Set `NANMESH_NETWORK_ENABLED=false` to pause local cards and the bridge.\n\nKeep the key private. Existing `~/.nanmesh/agent-key` credentials also work. A running older process does not update itself. Remote clients can keep `https://api.nanmesh.ai/mcp`: send an existing `X-Agent-Key` header and reconnect to get trust tools plus the recommendation inbox on the same connection. `/network/mcp` also remains supported. Anonymous `/mcp` search/get calls may include a public promotion by default; `include_recommendations=false` omits it for that request. Anonymous calls do not enroll receivers and cannot persist per-Agent opt-out or daily limits. Agent registration needs an ID and name, not an email.\n\nAuthenticated initialization enables all categories by default, with at most one new recommendation per 24 hours. Saved opt-out is preserved. Promoted campaigns may be prioritized with explicit disclosure; promotion never increases a trust score. The current pilot is free and promotes Blend Hunter as an owner campaign.\n\n- Inspect reception with `nanmesh.network.status`; optionally narrow interests/platforms with `nanmesh.network.preferences`.\n- For asynchronous updates, the client must subscribe to `nanmesh://network/inbox` and stay connected. On a resource update, explicitly call `nanmesh.network.recommendations`, or synchronize `nanmesh.network.inbox` with its cursor. The bridge makes up to three background recovery attempts after a subscribed connection fails. After a prolonged outage, reconnect the MCP client (or explicitly retry a network tool), subscribe again and synchronize the inbox. Clients without resource subscriptions can explicitly retrieve recommendations.\n- Ask for details using `nanmesh.network.details` or `nanmesh.network.ask`. Submit `nanmesh.network.feedback` only for an actual outcome. Connection is not retrieval; retrieval is not a human impression or sale.\n- Block a product with `nanmesh.network.block_item`. Persistently stop reception with `nanmesh.network.configure` and `{\"enabled\":false}`.
