(In fact, `quokka`\ndisplays characters in color for readability; see the screenshot above.)\n\nEven if its source code contains some stuff related to MS Windows, it currently\nsupports and is tested only for UNIX-like environments. For now, nothing is\nguaranteed for MS Windows.\n\n`INSTALL.md` explains how to build and install the program. For the copyright\nissues, see the accompanying `LICENSE.md` file.\n\nAmong libraries used, `alphanum.js` has been modified to meet `quokka`'s needs;\nit has been modified to behave in a more similar way to `ls -v` and to return\nthe sorted array instead of nothing. If you need to replace that module with,\nsay, a updated one, it is necessary to apply these changes properly.\n\n###Usage Tips\n\nA few useful tips go here.\n\n1. Sort files in a natural order\n\n The `-v` option makes `quokka` behave in the same way as `ls -v` when\n sorting file names; it affects how numbers in file names are handled. Without\n the option, `quokka` performs lexicographic comparison which puts, say,\n `img10` before `img2` because `1` has a smaller code than `2` has. This looks\n natural to most (if not all) programmers, but ordinary users would like to\n put `10` after `2` which the `-v` option does.\n\n2. Control the sorting order\n\n `quokka` can accepts file names to rename from the contents of a file\n given through the `-f` option. For example, you can edit the file obtained\n from redirection of `ls -t -1` (where `-t` for sorting by modification time\n and `-1` for displaying only file names) and give it to quokka with the `-f`\n option.\n\n3. One-line multiple-command\n\n `quokka` is designed to accept multiple commands in a line. For example, you\n can change files' extensions to `docx` by this one-line input:\n\n > #extension change to docx done rename\n\n instead of:\n\n > #extension\n #extension> change to docx\n #extension> done\n > rename\n\n The thing is that the newline character does not differ from other\n white-spaces in separating commands.\n\n4. Names with spaces\n\n The earlier versions of `quokka` used quotation for spaces embedded in file\n names. This approach made troubles with `readline`'s auto-completion\n supported by `node.js`, and had me choose to escape spaces with a leading\n backslash. Since the backslash character is now used for escaping spaces, it\n is necessary to escape backslashes themselves. For example,\n\n #replace> replace \\ .\n\n makes `quokka` replace a space with a period (_note_ the space after `\\`),\n and\n\n #strip> strip \\\\\n\n makes `quokka` strip off all instances of `\\`. In most cases, the smart\n auto-completion explained below helps you not to forget escaping spaces.\n\n5. Smart auto-completion\n\n The recent version of `quokka` support the smart auto-completion that is\n _smart_ in the sense that it is aware of the input context and suggests\n appropriate words. For example, pressing a tab key after `HDTV` when `quokka`\n expects arguments for `replace` shows every partial string starting with\n `HDTV` in file names to rename. This helps you to stop using a mouse to copy\n and paste characters from your terminal screen.\n\nIf you have a question or suggestion, do not hesitate to contact me via email\n(woong.jun at gmail.com) or web (http://code.woong.org/).\n","_id":"quokka@0.0.5","dist":{"shasum":"9cda6ddfdcfcf2f19e61546c526e69dd5c18003a","tarball":"https://registry.npmjs.org/quokka/-/quokka-0.0.5.tgz","integrity":"sha512-W3091Q3ORtwXuFEdQ32BW0dy/s1H0rNvqTKqCJbzyHzjizx4KPDZLoWXS5Yv7Zkze6yq3Snkf1bbnF0+7E3jPw==","signatures":[{"keyid":"SHA256:jl3bwswu80PjjokCgh0o2w5c2U4LhQAE57gj9cz1kzA","sig":"MEUCIQCrKP4NquX5s7tpjPqZwS9ZMY69jbQNiJP/Z/Xml1fJtgIgdpPqyes4Trgx6uhmW91RIngr2OBY10elnUyk8vZTJ50="}]},"_npmVersion":"1.1.59","_npmUser":{"name":"mycoboco","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com"},"maintainers":[{"name":"mycoboco","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com"}],"directories":{}},"0.0.7":{"name":"quokka","version":"0.0.7","description":"An Interactive File Renamer","author":{"name":"Woong Jun","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com","url":"http://code.woong.org/"},"contributors":[],"homepage":"http://code.woong.org/quokka","repository":{"type":"git","url":"https://github.com/mycoboco/quokka.git"},"bugs":{"url":"https://github.com/mycoboco/quokka/issues","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com"},"main":"src/quokka.js","dependencies":{"colors":">= 0.6.0-1","optimist":">= 0.3.4","string":">= 1.1.0","underscore":">= 1.3.3","wcwidth.js":">= 0.0.1"},"devDependencies":{},"engines":{"node":">= 0.8.0"},"licenses":"MIT","keywords":["rename","file rename","batch renamer","interactive renamer","terminal"],"readme":"quokka: An Interactive File Renamer\n===================================\n\n`quokka` is an interactive file renamer, which helps to rename multiple files\nin a systematic manner.\n\n <div class=\"center\">\n <a href=\"http://code.woong.org/img/quokka-sc.png\">\n <img src=\"http://code.woong.org/img/quokka-sc.png\"\n alt=\"quokka's screenshot\"\n style=\"display:block; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto\" />\n </a>\n </div>\n\nIt provides a set of rules:\n\n- to change letter case (`#case`)\n- to delete characters at a specified position (`#delete`)\n- to change file extensions (`#extension`)\n- to insert a text into a specified position (`#insert`)\n- to remove a text (`#remove`)\n- to replace a text (`#replace`)\n- to serialize file names (`#serialize`)\n- to strip a set of characters off (`#strip`) and\n- to import lines of a file for insertion (`#import`)\n\nwith options for fine control. If you need to replace that module with,\nsay, a updated one, it is necessary to apply these changes properly.\n\n###Usage Tips\n\nA few useful tips follow below.\n\n1. This looks\n natural to most (if not all) programmers, but ordinary users would like to\n place `10` after `2`, which the `-v` option does.\n\n2. Control the sorting order\n\n `quokka` can accept file names to rename from an external file given through\n the `-f` option. For example, you can edit the file obtained from redirection\n of `ls -t -1` (where `-t` for sorting by modification time and `-1` for\n displaying only file names) and give it to `quokka` with the `-f` option.\n\n3. One-line multiple-command\n\n `quokka` is designed to accept multiple commands in a line. For example, you\n can change files' extensions to `docx` by this one-line input:\n\n > #extension change to docx done rename\n\n instead of these multiple lines:\n\n > #extension\n #extension> change to docx\n #extension> done\n > rename\n\n The thing is that the newline character does not differ from other\n white-spaces in separating commands.\n\n4. Names with embedded spaces\n\n The earlier versions of `quokka` used quotation for spaces embedded in file\n names. This approach made troubles with `readline`'s auto-completion\n supported by `node.js`, and had me choose to escape spaces with a leading\n backslash. Since the backslash character is now used for escaping spaces, it\n is necessary to escape backslashes themselves. For example,\n\n #replace> replace \\ .\n\n makes `quokka` replace a space with a period (_note_ the space after `\\`),\n and\n\n #strip> strip \\\\\n\n does `quokka` strip off all instances of `\\`. In most cases, the smart\n auto-completion explained below helps you not to forget escaping spaces.\n\n5. Smart auto-completion\n\n The recent versions of `quokka` support the smart auto-completion that is\n _smart_ in the sense that it is aware of the input context and suggests\n appropriate words. For example, pressing a `tab` key after `HDTV` when\n `quokka` expects arguments for the `replace` command shows every partial\n string starting with `HDTV` in file names to rename. This helps you to\n avoid annoying use of your mouse to copy characters from your terminal\n screen.\n\nIf you have a question or suggestion, do not hesitate to contact me via email\n(woong.jun at gmail.com) or web (http://code.woong.org/).\n","readmeFilename":"README.md","_id":"quokka@0.0.7","dist":{"shasum":"77e9a231ea660a7d0c33c00b592e32fbf015351c","tarball":"https://registry.npmjs.org/quokka/-/quokka-0.0.7.tgz","integrity":"sha512-X/y2MhXFkxSoLQcOlqPy+PsNBn4Q5bMe5PfRm1RPa3sXmawimy24oIK0RdwZwlkn7smomXbL7ndd6XMouzyjgg==","signatures":[{"keyid":"SHA256:jl3bwswu80PjjokCgh0o2w5c2U4LhQAE57gj9cz1kzA","sig":"MEQCIH/734HvYIPWvUqyuvi1JMY5PqzhGsdZUd/9BXZhTcSnAiAxApYjLFOSPqfwiMgEbnry6Dj6k4lTokuH6oUmMUrRvA=="}]},"_from":".","_npmVersion":"1.3.14","_npmUser":{"name":"mycoboco","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com"},"maintainers":[{"name":"mycoboco","email":"woong.jun@gmail.com"}],"directories":{}}},"readme":" quokka: An Interactive File Renamer\n ===================================\n\n quokka is an interactive file renamer, which helps to rename multiple files\n in a systematic manner.
