It is built for everyday engineering tasks where the important question is\nnot only \"did the agent edit the code?\", but also \"what changed, what was checked, what permissions were used, and what\nevidence supports the handoff?\"\n\n

If a claim is not backed by evidence, SOBA keeps that\nvisible instead of hiding it in prose.\n\nNew receipts are sealed before persistence. `soba verify` returns exit `0` only for an accepted `verified` proof;\ninvalid, partially verified, unverified, and blocked outcomes return stable non-zero exit codes and machine-readable\nreasons. Legacy receipts without integrity metadata remain readable with a warning but are not tamper-evident.\n\n### Custom provider message compatibility\n\nWire compatibility is configured per model, so one OpenAI-compatible endpoint\ncan expose models with different chat-template requirements. The flag is never inferred from provider or model names.\nProviders without it retain their original wire format. Load a complete custom\nprovider definition with `soba provider add --from-file `.\n\nContext/output limits may be omitted from a custom model so discovery can fill them from provider metadata. SOBA marks conservative fallback limits as assumed and never infers reasoning support from a model name; custom endpoints must declare both reasoning capabilities and their transport explicitly.\n\n## Work modes\n\nUse `/plan agent`, `/plan plan`, or `/plan goal` to choose whether SOBA should implement, prepare a decision-complete\nplan, or clarify the objective and success criteria.
