Plugins can hook into them to read or modify the event payload.\n\nA plugin is an npm package named `trm-plugin-*` (scoped packages are supported), installed in the nearest local `node_modules` or globally.\nIts default export is a function that registers handlers:\n\n```ts\nimport { PluginRegisterFn } from \"trm-commons\";\n\nconst register: PluginRegisterFn = (on) => {\n on(\"core\", \"someEvent\", async (payload, ctx) => {\n return { ...payload, changed: true };\n }, { priority: 10, timeoutMs: 5000 });\n};\n\nexport default register;\n\n// optional, plugins with lower priority run first (default 100)\nexport const meta = { priority: 50 };\n```\n\n- `ctx` is the TRM layer raising the event: `client` or `core`\n- Handlers are chained: each one receives the payload returned by the previous one. Built-in types are `RFCConnect` (via [node-rfc](https://github.com/SAP-archive/node-rfc)) and `RESTConnect` (via [trm-rest](https://github.com/RegestaItalia/trm-rest)).\n\nNew connection types implement `IConnect`.
