What is it?\n\nThe `ts-action-operators` package contains RxJS operators for action observables.\n\n### Why might you need it?\n\nI created the [`ts-action`](https://github.com/cartant/ts-action) package because I wanted a mechanism for declaring and consuming actions that involved writing as little boilerplate as possible. The operators can be used in NgRx effects or redux-observable epics, like this:\n\n```ts\nimport { ofType, toPayload } from \"ts-action-operators\";\nconst epic = actions => actions.pipe(\n ofType(Foo),\n toPayload(),\n tap(payload => console.log(payload.foo)),\n ...\n);\n```\n\nUsing `pipe` is recommended; however, you if use a version of RxJS that does not include `pipe`, you can use `let` instead:\n\n```ts\nimport { ofType, toPayload } from \"ts-action-operators\";\nimport \"rxjs/add/operator/let\";\nconst epic = actions => actions\n .let(ofType(Foo))\n .let(toPayload())\n .do(payload => console.log(payload.foo))\n ...\n```\n\n## API\n\n* [ofType](#ofType)\n* [toPayload](#toPayload)\n\n\n\n### ofType\n\nThe `ofType` operator can be passed `ts-action`-declared action creators. The operator will remove unwanted actions from the observable stream.\n\nIf only a single action creator is specified, the action's type will be narrowed. What is it?\n\nThe `ts-action-operators` package contains RxJS operators for action observables.\n\n### Why might you need it?\n\nI created the [`ts-action`](https://github.com/cartant/ts-action) It also ensures that errors are handled and that `catchError` is called in the correct location.\n\n`act` can be passed a `project` function and `error` selector, like this:\n\n```ts\n.pipe(\n ofType(thingRequested),\n act(\n ({ id }) => things.get(id).pipe(\n map(thing => thingFulfilled(thing))\n ),\n (error, { id }) => thingRejected(id, error)\n )\n)\n```\n\nWhich is equivalent to:\n\n```ts\n.pipe(\n ofType(thingRequested),\n concatMap(\n ({ id }) => things.get(id).pipe(\n map(thing => thingFulfilled(thing)),\n catchError(error => thingRejected(id, error))\n )\n )\n)\n```\n\n`act` can also be passed a config object that includes optional `complete`, `operator` and `unsubscribe` properties:\n\n```ts\n.pipe(\n ofType(thingRequested),\n act({\n ({ id }) => things.get(id).pipe(\n map(thing => thingFulfilled(thing))\n ),\n error: (error, { id }) => thingRejected(id, error),\n unsubscribe: (_ , { id }) => thingCancelled(id),\n operator: switchMap\n })\n)\n```\n\nThe `unsubscribe` callback is called if the observable returned from `project` is unsubscribed *before* a `complete` or `error` notification is emitted. The `complete` and `unsubscribe` callbacks are passed the number of actions emitted by the observable returned from `project` and the input action.\n\n\n\n### ofType\n\nThe `ofType` operator can be passed `ts-action`-declared action creators. The operator will remove unwanted actions from the observable stream.\n\nIf only a single action creator is specified, the action's type will be narrowed. It can be applied to an obserable stream that emits narrowed actions that contain payloads.
